I think the mexican luchador thing has been holding Bane as a character back for years. I'm glad it's gone.

I'm a total moron. But it'd pass the non-news time.

I've been doing surprisingly well during this dead period, probably because my body has been ready for this film since july 2008, but emotionally i don't think I'd be able to hack watching the end of my 8 year obsession. I think I finally understand all the over emotional hubbub over Harry Potter last year.

Eh, Potter is effectively finished in cinema for a very long while. Batman however, lives on through other artists. So I'll simply have a new obsession to take up my time.

The Nolan films hold special place in my heart particularly because it was the sole reason i came to these boards, I've never really obsessed over a film like the last 3 batman films, It will hit me hard. I think someone mentioned that the upcoming trailer will in fact be the last "dark knight" trailer ever, that was a little sad to me.

Back onto the luchador thing, before someone actually does throw a stone at me. How many times have we seen the big antagonistic luchador archetype, I'm surprised Bane doesn't come out with tights and a belt, and even if he kept the mask the latin background just enforces the cheesiness of it. So I'm glad he doesn't have the mask, and I'm glad Nolan has decided to focus more on building a character than building Tom's already big muscles.

Did Ra's al Joke respond to a post of mine?

I'm honestly flattered.

Which is great, because overall, a powerlifter is more intimidating than a bodybuilder.

Kind of random but...At the Heinz Field shoot, there was a self-confessed "comic-book nerd" sitting in close proximity to me. Other non-fans in the area asked him various things throughout the day. My favorite, they asked him what Bane's back story was, he said "He's a mexican wrestler". And everyone, of course, believed him.
