Watchmen aside, he's actually a really good actor (with a fantastic voice for it). I loved him in The Lookout. I could go for that.

Matthew Goode would be a fine choice. He's so great in The Lookout, Match Point, and Watchmen. He would need to bulk up considerably. Save for The Lookout, he always looks baby-faced and wispy.

On the other hand, I think Lee Pace is someone I could really get behind. I've really liked his work since Pushing Daisies, and he's proven since that he can handle real drama. Plus, he's in the Twilight franchise and The Hobbit, so he definitely doesn't shy away from franchises. That could only help his stock with Warners.

Another one with a great voice for Batman. Not gonna lie, while I think presence and talent are the most important factors for casting this role, I believe the voice should be just behind those (and ahead of the "look") on the list of priorities.

Honestly, I never had a problem with it, and I liked the motivation behind it. But considering all the media attention it's gotten over the years, it's clear I'm in the minority, and I'd just love for it not to be an issue at all next time around. Like it's so natural that people don't even notice he's intentionally doing a voice for Batman at all. And for that, you need a guy with a naturally deeper or dynamic voice.

Yes I agree completely. If only we could put kevin conroy's voice into someones elses body, thatd be perfect.

But what will they do if a 6'4 actor was put next to Cavill as Superman? Would it cause problems?

It's really not hard to make actors look taller. Lifts, camera angles, etc. I know it's brought up as an example every time, but Tom Cruise is only 5'7. He's still a believable action star. Not to mention, Gwyneth Paltrow is actually taller than Downey, Jr. Couldn't tell in Iron Man, though.

Cavill is 6'1, Pace is 6'3, not 6'4...ONLY 2 inches difference dear.

I'd like to see Pace as Batman. He actually looks like Bruce Wayne from The Batman cartoon, but has a voice similar to Conroy!

I'm really enjoying the Lee Pace love train right now. Check out the voice (he changes it in this scene...helped by adding an accent, but you can hear how he could do two different voices for Bruce/Bats without making a dramatic alteration):

As long as it looks better than the stare-down between The Rock and Vin Diesel in Fast Five. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw them a the same height. I think it actually added to the fun of the movie, though.
