RG3 should win it. He's more important to his team than ANYONE else on the ballot, by far.

Also, UM getting into the BCS makes this system a joke, for real.

The poor Broncos must think they're getting into a big boy conference.

I'm going to need a new school to root for. Mine is allegedly going to hire Jim Tressel. I don't want us to lose our soul.

I'd rather have Jim Mora Jr. At least we'd be irrelevant losers.

Heartbroken.

I'm thinking I'll root for Cincinnati or Vandy.

Charlie Weis will be the new guy at Kansas. http://espn.go.com/college-football/...football-coach

Quote:
LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Former Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis has been hired at Kansas.

Weis will be introduced during a news conference Friday on campus, where he'll try to rebuild a program that won the Orange Bowl just a few years ago but floundered under Turner Gill.

Weis is wrapping up his first season as offensive coordinator at Florida after spending one season directing the Kansas City Chiefs' offense. But his most extensive college experience came with the Fighting Irish, where he went 35-27 in five seasons.

The 55-year-old former New England Patriots assistant has also spent time with the New York Jets and New York Giants.

Kansas athletic director Sheahon Zenger is hopeful that his high profile will energize a fan base that had grown apathetic under Gill, who was fired after going 5-19 in just two seasons.

That's not Charlie Weis. That's Mark Mangino with a toupee.

After the last two years, I am totally cool with this. I am really surprised they actually landed a high profile coach.

So UCLA hires Mini Mora.....that could backfire.

Never thought that Kansas would ever hire a coach as big as Mangino ever again. I was wrong about that. But since having a coach that isn't the size of Jupiter didn't work out for them, I guess they decided to go back to hiring that Jupiter sized head coach. I feel bad for all of the restuarants in Kansas though. When Mangino left, they celebrated. With Weiss, they are now sad.

It probably will backfire. None of us thought our AD would be so disrespectful as to hire Mora.

Allergically he's stealing the O-Line coach from SMU and the WR and OC from ASU. They're supposed to be pretty good recruiters. So that has me feeling a little more warm toward the Mark Wahlberg look-alike.

Speaking of SMU, I read that Craig James is running for senate. Good, as long as he's off ESPN. He and Jessie Palmer are terrible. They're electrical closet bad.

Mark May and Lou Holtz are the worst. Hands down. They need to be off the air. Craig James comes in at a close third. He clearly hates Texas and has no problem showing it when he covers the games. He showed it during the Texas vs tamu game and Jessie Palmer had to try to change the subject or make a good comment about Texas. James is covering the Texas bowl game. I will watch it on mute.

So it seems that Todd Graham has left Pitt via text message (stay classy, Todd) for Arizona State of all places. Oh well, honestly, his "high octane," offense was a joke to begin with. I'm fine with it. I say they reach out to Russ Grimm. He is Pitt alumni who wants to be a head coach but he has cooled off since 2008, so I can't see him getting an NFL job (outside of Jacksonville maybe). Plus having a hall-of-famer would be good for recruiting. Give the Hog the job!

Alternatively, maybe Todd Haley. No one is going to be kicking in his door. His father has ties to the area and Haley grew up in Pittsburgh. Maybe he'll consider it. Along the same lines of no one kicking in the door, perhaps Tom Bradley? Quality coach who can't get a better offer due to guilt by association.

Of course, my dream, won't happen in a million years pick would be Pitt's most famous alumni. Dan Marino! Pitt's A.D. should seriously go to Marino and say, "Okay Dan, I know that you have no coaching experience and a cushy broadcasting job, but we will pay you five million dollars per season to let the coordinators run the team while you stand on the sidelines and make recruitment calls." Recruits would flock in by the masses to play for Dan Marino, he would be seen as the guy who turned a nothing program into National Champions and get all kinds of prestige! It is a brilliant, win/win!

Not butthurt. Todd Graham wasn't good enough to warrant butthurt. In fact, basically anyone Pitt gets will be a step up. Like IF said, I think people are mad because of the way he did it (text message).
