Dragon’s Dogma doesn’t have any multiplayer modes. Instead, what it will have is an asynchronous MMORPG-like “raid”. source:siliconera Last edited by zenith16; 05-13-2012 at 11:50 PM. |

Hadn't heard about this game until last night when a guy mentioned it during a ME3 match. Anyway watched some vids and it looks pretty damn cool. Co-op play would be cool alas but what I've read about the pawn sytem (in this old article here) sounds pretty darned neat itself.
Gonna try the demo if it ever finishes lol

The demo is way to chaotic for me. I can't tell what's going on in it.

The battle system seems to be all over the place for me. I think I'd enjoy more if I had fewer to no pawns with me, so I could actually tell what was attacking what.

This looks really cool. I especially like the ability to get launched into the air.

Oh, I should have been clearer. In one video I saw the player latched onto a flying monster (a griffin, maybe) and it carried the player up into the air with it. Is it out already? I've been out of the video game loop since early March, when my Xbox broke.

Sweet! Looks like it's due here in NZ on the 25th here as well. Reasonably priced too (as opposed to say, Max Payne 3). Hopefully I'll have a working console by then! |

By Spencer . May 21, 2012 . 4:03pmDragon’s Dogma is said to have a massive budget. We’re about to see if Capcom spent their money wisely since the action RPG makes its debut worldwide this week. source:siliconera |

Quite seriously considering getting this. After Playing and reading the Witcher series, I'm seriously craving more fantasy gaming.

Got the game on tuesday, and it's... interesting... It has some serious graphical tearing issues on the 360, even after installed.
But the pawn system is neat, and it has this cool feature that allows you to post an ingame photos to a social network site. ![]() My main pawn is the guy in the white shirt.

Do you create a character ala Skyrim or do you play as an established character, like in the Witcher?

You make your own guy. They let you mess around with the character creator in the demo and then import him or her into the game.

I thought the combat was a lot of fun. I especially liked playing as the rogue/archer class in the second section of the demo. They don't let you get to wander around in the open world in the demo though, but it's just as well as I hear the open world stuff is kind of pointless. But yeah, the gameplay is pretty fun, and if it had multiplayer in it this probably would have been a day one purchase for me, but hearing the world feels really sterile kind of turned me off of it.

If I wasn't already planning on getting this game, that feature alone would sell me. Every game should come with something like this, especially open-world games. |

Been playing a couple of hours. It's got it's flaws but I'm still having a lot of fun so far. Fighting a Hydra was really cool. If anyone gets this, feel free to summon my pawn, under the GT Wolvieboy. It's Triss from Witcher :P

So, guys... overall... is this game a solid recommendation? I really like what I've seen so far, but I hear so much bad stuff about the story and quest designs.
Am thinking about buying it tomorrow, so I would value some input. |

I know it sold really well in Japan and fairly good in the US but haven't seen any sequel news.
