I've been thinking about it, and I have to say, Spider-Man 3 is like the Batman Forever of the Spider-Man series.

It had really great potential, but it was squandered by some stupid decisions and some really goofy moments, but nevertheless, it's not awful and definitely has redeeming qualities.

I'm just thankful Spider-Man never got to the B&R phase, though I suppose that would have made the reboot feel more justifiable.

Anybody here almost faint after seeing Ock for the first time? That poster that was released of Ock was just so incredible. Hell, it still is.

That's a great way to think about it!

It was pretty cool. I remember seeing the teaser trailer for the first time and watching Ock as he strode in to that cafe after throwing the car...yeah, I peed a little.

Replying to your post from the previous thread, Troy Parker. I agree. I like to wait a few months [like 4 or 5] before watching a movie again. No matter how good the movie is, I'd get bored if I had already seen the movie recently.

2-3 months for me, but there is one movie that I can watch every single night if I wanted to....Watchmen.

I had a fan gasm. After the awful Goblin costume in Spider-Man 1 I was so nervous they were going to screw up Ock's look, too. I was over joyed and knocked for six at the awesomeness of Doc Ock's reveal poster at Comic Con waaaaaaaay back in July of '03.

I have a question. Does anyone else remember Tim Curry being cast as Doc Ock or being rumoured to play Doc Ock in Spider-Man 2?

I remember seeing that in a magazine I once had listing the CBMs coming out in Summer 2003 and Summer 2004.

If I remember correctly it was a rumor and never really happened.

Ok. I remembered that and I was slightly confused when he wasn't actually in the film as Doc Ock.

When I heard that rumor, I really didn't think of it as anything real. Tim Curry does not fit Doc Ock at all, lol.

I don't know....I could see Curry as Doc Ock.

Actors can surprise you; Ryan Reynolds was definitely not the reason Green Lantern sucked, for example.

And when Heath Ledger got the role of Joker, people complained because he was "the guy in the gay cowboy movie".
