We all want that....but it'll never happen.
I'm happy enough with my novelization though.

No matter how much I end up liking The Amazing Spider-Man or any future Spider-Man films, I will always have respect for Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films. The first Spider-Man film was actually responsible for getting me more into Spider-Man than I had ever been. I was fourteen years old when it came out. When I was younger, I had watched the Spider-Man cartoon, had a couple of action figures and even had a subscription to Spider-Man Magazine, but I was never as into Spider-Man as I was Batman or any other things like that. This film series changed that. Now, my passion for Spider-Man could probably rival my passion for anything else.
I remember buying the first Spider-Man film on DVD and watching it a ton of times. When Spider-Man 2 came out, I saw it in theaters four times and to this day, it still stands as one of my favorite films of all time. I will admit that I was quite disappointed with Spider-Man 3, but there were things that I liked about it and I can still watch it, despite it's many flaws. I think it's kind of wrong to rip open Raimi's films just because Spider-Man is being rebooted. I've seen a lot of heavy, unjustified criticism that I didn't see before. Of course, I've also seen a lot of hate for the reboot, citing that Raimi's series should have continued. I can't say I agree with that. I think Raimi's films deserve the right to stand on their own and I see nothing wrong with taking Spider-Man in a bit of a new direction. It is kind of hard to believe that it's only been (almost) ten years since the first Spider-Man was released in theaters. That movie really had quite an effect on me. Long live "The Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy"! Last edited by The /; 03-21-2012 at 12:44 AM. |

Supernatural is awesome.
Unfortunately I've fallen a little behind on it as I've been piled with school work, but with the holidays coming up, that problem should be sorted out.

How much evolution did this thread go through? From the official "I loved Raimi's Spider-Man" to
I Love Shrek I Love Supernatural What else was there? And what's the next step?

Any time I make mention of my complete hatred and disgust over Spider-Man 3, people have the idea that I have the same opinion over 1 and 2 as well, lol.
No, I LOVE Spider-Man 2 and it's one of the greatest CBMs of all time; still, it being a Raimi-directed film, there are some nitpicks I have over it, and the greatest of them all is the Harry cliffhanger while I'd rather have the film ending on a note that doesn't prelude to a third film. And Spider-Man 1 is very mediocre. I own 1 and 2, but it's been a while since I watched the first one as I don't get anything out of it from watching as I used to.
