I think its actually padding. That must have been an awkward conversation:
"Emma, we need you to use these fake under shirt boobs. Its important to Gwen's character that she be more voluptuous than you are."
Emma: "How is that so important?"
Studio Exec: "Its important to the fanboys."

I think it's just that she's wearing tight shirts in the trailer. I think in everything else we've seen they've not been as tight. I think in everything we've seen before she's worn a jacket or a vest.

I noticed that her boobs are a lot bigger in the trailers than some of the photos we have seen. No complaints from me though, its a huge win for us guys lol. Imagine seeing her boobs in Imax 3D on July 3rd lol.

Yes. Yes we did. You can blame Sam Raimi for ingraining it in our brains to look at the chest.

O yea it does! I didn't pay any attention to what was being said during that entire scene. My eyes were glued to Kristin's tits and nips ha ha.

LMAO. I was about 9 years old at the time, and even I was looking at Dunst tits/nips. Huge, man! lol Wonder what happened to her in the sequels. She looks like she lost a lot of weight.

I KNOW! Compare the alley a scene to the scene where she's tied up in Ock's Lair in SM2.

Something changed in that 2 year span.

Kirsten's cinematic sexual appeal peak was Spider-Man...and then over the next 2 sequels, don't know what happened.

And James Franco, somehow went from looking nerdy to cool as **** by 3.

And I may like Spider-Man 3, but even as a 13 year old, I never liked how crappy the MJ/Peter relationship was in the movie.

Agreed. I was 13 at the time too and I was in definite WTF mode.

And Willem Dafoe surprisingly remained the same age.

Kirsten was nice and curvy in the 2000-2003 era, (I mean every man enjoyed seeing her near, naked breasts in the rain) but according to her, even SHE thought she was too big due to the pressures of Hollywood and significantly lost alot of weight through the next years.

It seems she has put her weight back on however. She is seen fully nude in 2011 film Melancholia (great film btw) and her breasts look wonderful.

As for Emma, yeah probably a push up bra. But in all fairness, Gwen had a massive rack, so it kinda makes sense. After all, apparantly Bryce Dallas Howard was made to wear one too.

Us fanboys and our demands, eh?

Agreed. I don't know what happened to Kirsten after spider man 1. She just wasn't that attractive after the first movie. And to make matters worst, her acting the all three movies was just so so.

interview with Emma Stone

Quote:
It's a really cool thing as an actor to know that you're part of something that's so much bigger than you. You're not creating it from the ground up, you're trying to fill the shoes of someone that's been around a lot longer than you. It's really exciting. I love that aspect of it.

Gwen's story happened before Mary Jane's, and I think that coming back to their roots, it was interesting to explore the woman who came before Mary Jane. I think she's such a definitive part of Peter Parker's relationship with Mary Jane ultimately, who is literally the polar opposite in personality of Gwen Stacy. I think just building that into Pter's life and seeing that story from the very beginning was really interesting. And of course Gwen's story is so beautiful and important to that story of Spider-Man that I think they wanted to come from that angle at this time.

And I think that Marc's vision was just that it's a very huge world that we're operating in but the story itself is in a room between people. There are elements of Spider-Man all throughout that; big sequences and scenes with action and violence, but I think Marc really cared so much about the heart of the story and the humanity in his relationships.

I think it's really awesome to have such a huge Spider-Man fan play Spider-Man because he was so protective of all the elements of Peter Parker's nature. It's a really nice thing to watch someone who's read all the comics and dreamt of being this person since he was four years old bring that dream to fruition.

It was Marc's approach...at the end of the day you're sitting on the floor looking into they eyes of another actor and it's just like real life. I feel the heart if really remained, and it didn't ever feel bigger than us in that way. It fely like a human story. I like that. That surprised me because I thought it was going to feel so daunting every day, with wires and harnesses and green screens and it was a pleasant surprise.

She sat with me and would talk to me about how she met Alvin, and the feelings that she had when she met him and how she felt they mirrored certain elements of Gwen and Peter. So I couldn't play Gwen without thinking of Laura [Ziskin]

oh and I like this:

So how do feel about the possibility of having your own action figure?

Is that going to happen?! If any kids get an action figure of me and act like I did with action figures then it's going to be a highly inappropriate situation.

Wrong. Emma has said that Gwen won't be a damsel in distress.
