No, it's not a trick. The staff realized he had recently had a username which was permanently banned not too long ago. Banned users who create new names are automatically banned... if they don't slip through our radar. But KRIM did for the most part. And it's a shame, he was a decent poster.

This is my favorite message board on the Internet (hell, my favorite site), but I must admit that I don't understand that particular policy in instances like this. It's one thing to permanently ban someone who continues to make accounts in order to troll and rile people up. But whatever he had done in the past, KRIM seemed to have turned over a new leaf, and was one of the best members in this particular board. We really are losing a quality member here.

It's a policy that's set in stone. If you do something to get yourself banned permanently, well, it's permanent. You aren't permitted to ever return. Even if they return and become a decent poster. Hell, for the most part, he was decent before his original name was banned. But that's the way it goes.
