But with Lex I'd really love if he was introduced in MOS somehow and that fans would recognize easter eggs about Lex's set-up for a possible sequel. Not just in the very last shot (if they'd go the BB-route), but plant several easter eggs throughout the third act.

I still want Clive Owen guys
![]() ![]() I just he has the right age/look that i'm after, I love the tone of his voice, and he's proven plenty of times that he can play the cool, cold guy that I hope Lex will be in this franchise. And he looks great in a suit! ![]() Interestingly, he was reportedly considered for the role of Jor-el... so either he turned it down, or they thought 'hang on, we've got something that might suit you better...' I know, I know, keeping dreaming

He was asked to be Jor-El? He does look a bit like Cavill, more than Crowe. He'd make a good Lex though.
Anyways, I think Gerard Butler would be a good pick too

Awesome, exactly what I would want as an intro to lex. I could honestly see him saying something like that

God I love Guy Pearce. That guy may be the most underrated, or at least underappreciated, actor of his generation. I'd jump for joy if he was cast as Lex. Or any great comic book villain for that matter, as he could probably play them all.

I don't like him... I have absolutely no good reason for that, but sometimes people just get on your nerves you know? Like is was watching 'Don't be afraid of the dark' the other day, and every time he opened his mouth I wanted to hit him. I suppose it didn't help that his character was kind of a douche, but tbh, I was thinking it the moment I saw him on the back of the box.
P.S. That film was really really bad! |

I wouldn't wanna punch Clive Owen for example... Dudes got crazy in his eyes

I still think Michael C Hall would make a great Lex.

Hey, I wanted to punch him during The Time Machine. I often wonder, if he just avoided that movie, if he would have become a huge star. He seemed poised for it after Memento, but then he participated in that unwatchable rape of H.G. Wells and I think it derailed his career trajectory a bit. Maybe not though; maybe he simply wasn't interested in going the leading man route for the long term.

I'm not convinced by Guy Pearce either. He overacts so much that you know that he's an actor acting and IMO it's near enough every film he's been in that he's done it.
I did like him in LA Confidential though and he was alright in Neighbours. My 1st choice would be Arnold Vosloo but I quite like the idea of Clive Owen as Lex. |

Saying that Pearce overacts and then suggesting Vosloo? I mean I love the guy, but still...

Has no one seen The Proposition? Traitor? Mildred Pierce? Memento? Animal Kingdom? Guy Pearce only acts theatrically when he's told to, and he's perfectly capable of fantastically understated performances. He's one of the great chameleon-like actors we have, imo.

![]() I was actually just looking through his IMDB to see if I could figure out where my hatred of him started... and I got it pinned. Count of Monte Cristo. I haven't seen that film in years, but he played such a convincing punchable ******* that it's actually never shaken!
