Who's voice is it then? It is certanly plausable to make that connection to it being Urbans voice since its a voice being played over footage from the Urban movie.

Here's a character that's ripe for a reboot: 'Judge Dredd'. The mega-popular British sci fi character has had the Hollywood treatment once before in the 1995 film that starred Sylvester Stallone as the title character. The movie was bad enough to make Mania's Top 15 Worst Superhero Movies of all time.
Ever since 2002, Rebellion (who holds the rights to the character) has been working to relaunch the film franchise. Back then they had ambitious plans to film back-to-back Dredd movies, In 2003 Shorline Entertainment got involved to finance the films with an eye on going into production that year. It didn't happen.
Well, now it appears that there's a new plan for bringing the Judge back to the big screen. Edward Mazmanian, he of the many and varied comic book movie groups on FaceBook, has uncovered info at ShowBizData.com about this new development.
According to the info, which he's duplciated at the Judge Dredd Movie Group, the new film is a joint production between DNA Films and Fox Searchlight. Allon Reich ('28 Weeks Later) is producing. Alex Garldan ('28 Days Later', 'Sunshine'). The production is currently seeking a director.
With the current dominance of comic book movies, the time may be right for a Judge Dredd that truly captures the scale of the Megacities and the black humor of the comics.

I liked Stallone's Judge Dredd movie. Didn't think it was bad at all. Was it the best superhero or action movie of all time? No, of course not, but I've seen worse movies. Schneider being cast as comic relief was pretty funny also.

Anyway, another thing I'm looking foreward to are the posters of the film. Yes, Lionsgate has a tendency to deliver some pretty lackluster trailers, but their posters for their Punisher films and Conan were pretty neat. Their posters for the Punisher films paid tribute to the covers by Tim Bradstreet, and the Conan posters paid tribute to the Frank Frazetta paintings.

For Dredd I hope they do posters based on images such as these:

The first Conan poster (standing on the pile of skulls) was really awesome. Especially animated one, with that gloomy music. Promised a lot.

I think, it would be great if promo posters were not about Dredd, but about judges and the law of MC1. Something like a series of social advertising from the city, which would introduce the new look of the franchise. Similar to District 9, Harvey Dent promos and so on.

Those could certainly be a part of the marketing campaign, but with the title of the film being "Dredd", you definately should have some posters focusing on the character.

I've said it before on her and I'l say it again, given that 2000AD has avid fans like that of Simon Pegg etc and that 2000AD in addition has obviously influenced so many top level creative minds in Hollywood over the years, I still find it inconceivable that there simply hasnt been more of a 'push' to get 2000ADmovies off the ground in the past.

One thing that Urban cant be accused of is not knowing his Dredd. He obviously knows [as a fan] of the Eastwood influence.
