Finished the bar exam today. To reward myself yesterday I ordered the hush tpb and the black mirror hardcover. Both came in the mail today. The black mirror hardcover is so awesome.....

Morrison didn't do a great job with Ra's last time hope this one will be better

Tho i hope Morrison will try his best, it's not really optimistic to see him write a character he has told he dislikes and now has turned Talia practically into a Ras 2.0 with a slice of extra maniac, so hope his conclusion arc has given him a new view on him.

I remember Morrison was doing an interview with Neal Adams ages ago where he said that he loved the original "Demon" trilogy. So perhaps he just doesn't think much of the more modern Ra's al Ghul stories ?

which is stupid, because Legacy is awesome. And he wrote a modern al Ghul story that wasn't that good.

Have there been any interviews or statements about when the whole Joker face off thing is going to be concluded in Detective Comics? I'll probably be dropping the book anyway but I'd at least like to see the conclusion to that before I do. The solicits for future issues don't seem to be hinting it will be addressed any time soon.

I should have already dropped the book. I don't even remember what Batman's doing anymore. Dollmaker got away and Batman's after Penguin for some reason I can't recall.

This was my first time reading Tony S. Daniel and while I love his art I'm not so sure about his story telling capabilities.

It's not a surprise that his Ra's story wasn't all that good because he never wanted to revive Ra's to begin with. The Resurrection of Ra's al Ghul was an editorially mandated story and it's hard for writers to overcome editorial mandates that they don't like one bit.

Then why didn't they just make a different writer do it? Somebody who wanted to? Surely they would've gotten a better story out of it.
