Nah, he's the schemer and deal maker of the film. Blackout is the physical fighter againts Ghost Rider. I thought he was a really cool scheming bastard and his final quote was hilariously awesome.

The quick answer is no. The character is severely restricted. He doesn't really do anything that evil. Al Pacino's satan was more threatening than this one.

^Heck I thought Peter Fonda's Mephisto was a lot more intimidating, at least he had a menace about him, this one was just there.

I quite enjoyed Hinds in the film. I didn't really think much of Fonda's role.

He was weak I think which is a shame because Ciran Hinds is a good actor.
His Satan wasn't very threatening and did have much presence. If he played it like Gabriel Byrnes Satan in End Of Days it would of been much better.
