I wouldn't mind seeing her play Wonder Woman. Hell, she'd probably be really great.

Yeah the moment I saw that first trailer, my first thought of her was "Man, she would be the perfect Wonder Woman."

Please no talk about Wonder Woman. It makes me sad that the choices being thrown around will probably be in their mid 40s by the time WW actually gets a movie

Im sure we will get it before 10 years.
Shed be cool, I really only know her from Thor but would not be opposed to it. Im really liking the thought of Lynn as Diana. Most casting choices I hear for Wonderwoman I couldnt really see happening, but she just seems the perfect fit for the role. |

They're nervous after GL now, so MOS is what they're banking on, and if it's a success, we'll see Flash, Aquaman and possibly Wondy.

The movie only made 500 thousand from the midnight screenings. Midnights don't always mean death but that is not a good sign for this type of film... That number from Russia is great though and she the website says it's doing well in Asia.

I see it making it's money back in the foreign markets. Films like John Carter is usually make big overseas.

^Eh, I always thought it would do well overseas but unless it does like 400-500mil it won't be enough to make up for the domestic numbers if that midnight number is any indication. I stress that everyone should wait before saying it's dead though because we only have midnight numbers.

Just got back from seeing this in IMAX. I LOVED it! Tied for my favourite movie of the year so far (The Muppets was only released in February here in the UK)
But I thoroughly enjoyed it! Still not sold on 3D even in IMAX, which I was hoping may improve it for me, but that's the only problem I had with it. I am going to recommend this to just about anyone who will listen.

Like I said from D23. Taylor Kitsch was so miscast in this movie.
His style really worked for Friday Night Lights but he doesn't have the type of charisma and style that a character like John Carter needs. All these big emotional scenes and Kitsch barely even reacts at all.

Critics were way too harsh. It's was solid and good. Just nothing remarkable.

Soooo...did "John Carter" insult Nikki Finke's mother or something? She really seems to have some kind of grudge against this film.

Ive been to alot of films in the past three months. I guess when you look at the crtic meter for the films that have been released there really isnt that much out in terms of ratings. But I enjoyed this film alot more then whats been released so far. Take it for what its worth. Its a fun movie.
Edit: Chronicle was excellent. Last edited by def28; 03-09-2012 at 04:45 PM. |
