How many times can Drogba fall?

Unfortunately, Barca will end up drawing Apoel or Benfica.

Credit to them for coming back like that. Last week English football was kind of disgraced. Good to see Arsenal & Chelsea come back so strongly.

Ditto... if they ripped us to shreds, i cannot wait to see how badly the **** up Chelsea.....

Also, this win could mean they're fired up to play City at the weekend.... which is good for us....

Well done to Chelsea!

And I see Drogba was up to his old tricks again.

Good win and quality performance from Chelsea, Drogba had a couple of his cringe inducing play acting moments but on the whole was a colossus, and I thought David Luiz had his best game at CB for Chelsea.

love how all the media seem to be forgetting that Oscar winning dive from last night

chelsea did well last night but lets be realistic its most likely they'll go out in the quarters, pair them with real or barca and they will be destroyed

It made no difference at all to the result so why make a big deal out of it? Seriously, players dive all the time. The media will usually only cause a stink if the dive actually makes a difference (wins a penalty, gets a player sent off, etc), and sometimes not even then depending on the club or player in question.

I gotta say I've seen players just as bad or worse than Drogba not get nearly as much stick from the fans or the media as he does when he offends.

Booh, Party Pooper Lol, not even the most die-hard blues fans think we have a good chance of winning the thing (have not seen anyone here claiming that either...).

But why piss on the parade? They had a great night, the first in some time. No harm is enjoying that for now and worry about what Barca, Real M, or Bayern will do to us if we get them in the draw on Friday.

First 30 mins or so of last night, I thought, "oh here we go, this has 1-0 written all over it", and then after that the game kicked into high gear and, from a neutrals perspective, was a great game to watch. Always gotta support the English team, so I'm glad Chelsea have gone through.

David Luiz was MOTM for me, didn't see him do a thing wrong. Terry may have scored but Luiz was the rock IMO.

I kind of hope they don't and City go through so they just have the league to worry about.

Well the chances of getting Real or Barca are only 2 out of 7 teams and apart from those two Chelsea can certainly be competitive.

Let me see how corrupt I can make this draw.

So here are the 8 teams.

Real Madrid
Barcelona
Chelsea
AC Milan
Bayern Munich
Marseille
Apoel
Benfica

Real Madrid/Marseille- They always seem to face a French team at this stage.
Barcelona/Apoel- They always seem to crush someone's dream at this point, last year it was Shaktar
Chelsea/AC Milan- UEFA hates the English and would bet money on AC Milan eliminating Chelsea
Bayern Munich/Benfica- No real reason other than setting up a possibly final with Bayern in their own home.

Is it me or is that a much weaker quarter final line-up than usual this year?
