^^ just out of curiousity... tell us more about your character.

It's always interesting hearing about other people characters and their story. We've done this awhile back, and now it's your turn!

And post pics too if you can.

This is my only character in my game. Her name is Roon, the same as all my Monster Hunter characters, because my nephew told me I had to. She's a Breton with dark brown hair. She's wearing a combination of Orc and Ebony armor while I build up her forging skill to make Daedric armor. I love using the ax you get from the Companions questline. She's a member of the Bard's College, Companions and the Arch Mage of the College at Winterhold. Oh and she's the Thane of both Whiterun and Riften. I haven't chosen whether I want her to be a Legion member or a Stormcloak fighter yet. Oddly enough I can see her not choosing sides with either. She has a real tendency to get horses killed though because there's always a magic user that either burns the horses to death or freezes them. I have depleted the horses at Whiterun farms already. I was progressing in the Thieves Guild quests but I just don't feel right aligning with the people in Riften that like to cause mischief. I also helped the legion get rid or the Dark Brotherhood. Funniest thing I've had happen to me was an angry lizard man came running up to me out of the blue on a mountain path and start punching me. I think you can guess who won that fight.

*edit* Here's a video I just uploaded on my Youtube channel with a brief look of my character in it. The guy is my in game husband Vorstag.
VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

Haha, I'm in Mass Effect mode right now. Only just completed the 1st one for the 1st time recently and just completing Hardcore/Insanity playthroughs before moving on to 2 & 3. Excellent game!

My Skyrim character is a Khajit black panther scarred battlemage. Specialise in 2 handed swords, heavy armour (swap with archmage robes as relevant), destruction and summon magic.

@iceman

Man...mass effect 3 REALLY blew me away so far! it's surprising how, for a game with that much cool fights, the things that i remember the most are the quiet character moments...it packs just as much, if not more punch than the action scenes!

At the risk of of sounding like a sissy, i came VERY close to tears on more than one occasions. And that's one of the 'problems'i have with the game. I don't think i could ever go back to playing ME 2 after this, seeing how some of my old crew members ended up.

And you play a Khajit? GTFO! SKYRIM BELONGS TO THE NORDS!

Seriously though, i play as a white Khajit once. Called him Shisimaru. Nord mead for you if you can figure out who that is. My last Skyrim character was a female Nord called VALRAVN...which is Danish for 'raven of the slain', according to danish folklore, its a supernatural raven who consumes the bodies of the dead on battlefields.

@ Godzilla

Heh..figured you'd play a female character. I always play as female characters too ever since Fallout 3. I just have this thing for strong, female characters.Your character sounds interesting.

Have you already thought about your 2nd character? and i'm curious since you said your character doesn't really like the thieves guilds, is she now friends with Mjoll?

hehe just watched your vid..you're wearing the forsworn headress...one of my fav things to wear on Skyrim! and it's that the Molag Bal mace? love that weapon!

I'm completing the trilogy as fully and as soon as possible. At least I can then talk about it without worrying about spoilers. From the ME3 trailers and how good Mass Effect looks back in 2007 (looks lot better to me than Oblivion in 2006) I'm expecting ME3 to be the equal of Skyrim right at the top of gaming.

Haha, I haven't yet chosen a non half-animal character in an Elder Scrolls game.

I didn't know but I did a google image search on Shisimaru. What the hell?!! lol

A lot more thought goes into your naming process than mine. Very impressive

A warning though, ME3 WILL change how you view ME 2 ( never played the 1st one)..in a GOOD way!...or sad way, depending how you'll experience ME3.
As of now, My personal list of my fav games of all time:

1.Fallout 3
2.Mass effect 2/3 ( because i see them as one big storyline)
3.Skyrim
4.FalloutNV

LOL it's a character from a japanese Tv series that i freakin'loved when i was a little kid .A Japanese tv series called kaiketsu lion maru.I struggled with a name for the Khajit and that name just suddenly popped in my head again.

Thanks! the name is very important to me, as well as their background story for RPG purposes. Valravn story goes something like this if i remember correctly:

She's a fallen soldier who's seen the ancient enemy. And now...the ancient enemy has returned, The Reapers has come to earth! and now she must leave earth to... oh wait...

Yeah..that's why i don't visit the ME 3 thread. Since almost everybody there has already finished the game, they all talks about the infamous endings...and i don't wanna know about that yet.

here seems like a safe place to discuss it every once in a while. there's you, me and i think James still playing the game.

I've since finished ME3, but I fully intend on another play through or two of all three games. You don't have to worry about me spoiling anything though!

My four characters (briefly):

1st: A big brash, glory seeking Nord who'd been away since he was a child. A monster-hunter for hire he returned to his homeland after hearing rumors of dragons returning. A friendly brute he likes a good fight and sticking his nose in everyone's business -a big believer in the might of steel, never uses magic. Reluctantly joined The Legion in order to put an end to the war. Hates the Thalmor (they killed his wife).

2nd: A young Khajiit who'd spent most of his life being kicked around, has a real chip on his shoulder. Wants power and will do anything to get it, came to Skyrim in search of the Mages College and has since got involved with all manner of shady characters.

3rd: Another Nord, however this one has a much more stoney disposition and tends to only focus on the big-picture. Been and fought in plenty of battles before returning home, a native of Shor's Stone. He's not interested in minor issues, only taking on larger battles. A Stormcloak through and through he signed up with Ulfric and kills Legion members on site. Married a girl from Shor's Stone, moved to Whiterun, made friends with The Companions when he joined in search of making some coin.

4th: My newest character, a High Elf sell-sword who's out for himself. A big brute of a fellow he tends to favor steel over magic but isn't above blasting someone in the face with fire if needs be. A highly skilled archer, he tends to favor ambush tactics combining both sneak skills and raw battle skills.

^^ niiice!.

Do you ever play as a character from other games or movies, comics etc?

Now that you've played ME3,ever got the urge to name your character Sheppard? My fav character from Skyrim, is a character from FO3.

I also curious as to how much people actually RP-ing with these games...do you just take your character through the motion, or really try to create some kind of life for the characters...like for example, avoid a quest because you feel like that's not something your character would do, or take a break in one of the inns after having your characters walk around for a long time..or buy useless food stuff from the market..

That kind of thing.

yea I deff do. some times I'll just "live" in the world. I'll wake up, go chop some wood, sell that to a vendor to get a little coin. go out hunting to get some food, bring it back to the house to cook. things like that. I also dont do any quests that tend to be 'evil'. like I activated a deadra quest and they wanted me to bring someone there to be sacrificed. I politely declined.

I mostly just character build and mess around with different stats. But I've done some role playing. My previous character was created solely for the thieve's guild. I've barely touched any quests outside of that. As far as I'm concerned he is not the Dragonborn.

I don't tend to take characters from other media, unless it makes sense to me. When I played New Vegas (which incidentally, I've just gone back to) I decided the Courier was in fact my same character from Fallout 3, it made sense in context.

In terms of actually Role Playing, yes, I absolutely do that. I like the character to be a character, not just a skin. This makes the game more interesting because it determines everything they do, their decisions, how they fight, who they work for, where they go, etc. The third character I mentioned, for example, stopped fighting in the Civil War temporarily so he could earn enough money to buy a safer house for his wife, in White Run. He joined the companions to make some coin and ended up making some friends along the way -Role Playing makes for more interesting stories

hehe..same with me. I'd go for a walk around Whiterun...not to search for enemies, but just to walk around. Hanging around the house, then go for a drink with lydia.
Sometimes i would spent A LOT of time going around , just doing 'normal things'.

And this is something you'd either love, or hate...there's no grey area. I love it because it hepls me immerse myself in this world, but i remember someone i know who was a huge COD fan, and he just couldn't understand it how doing things like that in a game can be enjoyable. Well...to those who gets it, no explanations are neccesarry, and to those who don't, no explanations would be good enough i suppose.

...and it helps to create a bond with your character too i suppose. Moreso than with stock characters from other games.

And as far as playing as character from other franchise/medium...i love doing that! hehe maybe it's the comics fan in me who just loves crossovers!

Oh that is a very old video. Roon had been wearing a mix of Ebony Armor with an Orcish Helmet and wielding some Glass Weapons, though I did use the Malog Bal Mace with the Ghost Sword a bit today. But I have just completed making a full set of Daedric armor just 30 minutes ago as you will see in the below video of a rather interesting Horse glitch I encountered.

VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

P.S. I'm trying to figure out how my horse I ride in this video was resurrected. What was weird is that I found it alive and well in the spot where it had died previously while I had gone back to that location for an Heirloom retrieval quest for the Companions. I'm guessing it's a lucky glitch?

I don't know...I just can't get enough of killing in the name of the Companions for some odd reason. >_< It just never grows old to me, all that simulated violence. *shrugs* Now that I have Daedric Armor and weapons I'll be ready for the Dawnguard DLC whenever it comes out for the PS3.

Godammit! Toomanylegs!!! Freaking spider caverns. Find the word. Kill some zombies. Okie-dokie. Find over a dozen giant spiders within 3 minutes. Not okie-dokie. Me no likey spiders. They did that on purpose.

On the plus side playing through as a Sneak Archer build with enchanting. Lots of fun. Killing everything with arrows of fire five feet away and they can't see me.

With my Daedric Armor and weapons spiders are no problem at all. They usually go down in one hit. I prefer the more direct approach and use a Long sword against foes.

I once turned my horse hostile when i accidently hit it with a stray arrow. Lydia then proceed to kill the poor thing! She obviously had no idea how much those things cost me!
