Glad to see folks like yourself and Smits are coming to enjoy the MCU like we do. It's a fantastic concept with which the sky's the limit.
It really is a huge world, and its amazing actually getting to know what all the different characters are about. After exhausting the MCU films I watched all season 1 of the avengers EMH cartoon and that was a real eye opener for me too... before this the only marvel stuff I read was spider-man, and when I got civil war (I heard that spidey had some big moments in it so wanted to read it) I was so clueless about who everyone was... I recently re-read it and it was like whole new book (I didn't even know who Pym was! **laughs**). Still its a bit intimidating and hard to know where to start reading about all these other characters. I was in a book shop today looking at all the avengers/iron-man/cap/thor books but didn't know which one to get so I chickened out, bought a deadpool book and ran away **laughs again**

I can't wait either, but at least we've both only got 9 days to wait here in the UK!

the cap film is great, although my love of tommy lee jones/hugo weavering may be biasing my opinion =) Chris Evans is just amazing at playing this character, before watching the film I had really low expectations about who cap is and what he's about, but now I'm a completely converted fan.

I really don't know if I could pick a favourite avenger going into the movie...

There are no new trailers, but there are a couple of great new clips from the movie (Thor vs. Iron Man; Nick Fury & Loki) and some new TV ads. The ads aren't on YouTube yet, but the clips are available. You might consider the clips spoilerific, though, so you may want to avoid seeing them.

I would like to see the new tv spots. I purposely avoided the IM vs Thor clip

This info pales in comparison to the avalanche of overwhelmingly positive reviews but I'll post it anyway.

THE AVENGERS theatrical trailer views on YouTube is over 24 million views with over 110,000 likes!

Avengers just promoted on NFL Draft Kickoff. Samuel L. Jackson himself had a spot on it with a little intro describing the draft/players.

Avengers are Assembling everywhere!! May 4th come on down~!

I saw that and just posted it in the general discussion too. I thought it was pretty cool and unique piece of ad personally. I get tired of just watching tv spots all the time.

NFLNetwork is Avengers happy. I've seen more trailers on this channel today than I've seen in the weeks/months leading up to the movie on all the other channels combined lol. Not that I'm complaining. I love seeing hulk double choke slam some puny aliens.

I juts got back home from the midnight showing. I still cannot believe what I saw. The whole movie was fanfreakingtastic! Hulk was pure awesome. And the after the credits scene(s) I was thinking 'Hmm maybe but I nah couldn't be' and then it was and I litreally jumped out of my seat screaming YES! Daniel Bryan style.

I will definitely be going to see this multiple times in the theatre. Did 3D for tonight the other viewings will likely be 2D.

Oh and Hiddleston is just wow.

Guys just a question, don't you think it's time to close this thread since most of us have already seen the movie? I mean the title says Theatrical Trailer discussion thread and I bet we won't be seeing another trailer for this since it's already out :P

Close? No. It should be retitled, though.

This has probably already been highlighted, but did you guys notice that when Stark says 'genius billionaire playboy philanthropist' and when Banner says 'what if the other guy says no' in the trailer, they are different takes to the film versions of those scenes?

Yes it has been noticed especially Tony's line. In the trailer it sounds more like a funny answer, in the movie he's more annoyed about Cap. But good catch.
