The "acting" from the girl is pretty funny. And the effect added on her voice when the camera cuts to the bad guy is hilarious.

I've watched the clips don't really see a problem, the actings not amazing but I've seen much worse. Saying that I do love alot of tacky horror movies so I've seen the worst of the worst.

I watched "Immortals" again and I really enjoyed it more the second time, esp. the first half. And Henry is good in his role.

I will only really watch "Cold Light of Day" to see Henry.

Well my friend is telling me that you can get a second bus that drops you quite near, so as long as I go in the day while that's running I'll prob bring the cost down to around 30 ticket included.

That's not as bad!

EDIT: Oh balls... It's a bank holiday, bet that'll screw up all the bloody buses!

*sigh* This will in be so much easier in July when I'm living in the city.

I was expecting some promotional interviews with Cavill for TCLOD but nothing of it as of yet. Do they only do interviews for the US release or what? Oh well.

Im sure he's overreacting just a little bit. Just like Cavill was overacting like crazy in the trailers and clips. But he said the director instructed him to do so. Because it's supposed to be more ´´realistic`` that way. Well more realistic sometimes isn't a good thing.

Here's a review from someone on IMDB

Quote:
5 April 2012 | by valrogm (United States)

I just saw this in the theater. This is all I can say without including spoilers: The movie kept me entertained throughout. I felt some tension through much of the movie and there was some suspense as well. While the overall story was good, the script was pretty weak - some scenes that were supposed to be tense actually made people laugh in the theater! The writers shouldn't be allowed to write another piece of junk like this. The acting talent was mixed.

Bruce Wills did a stellar job and was very convincing. I haven't seen Henry Cavill act before (actually I have, though I've never noticed him) and he did good as well.

This has to be said, and I'm sure everyone who saw the movie will agree with me: Sigourney Weaver was soooo unrealistic in this movie. It's like she's forgotten how act after all these years. Seriously, in one scene, she actually says "Wooooo" as she's driving an SUV into people and firing an automated weapon! No, her character isn't supposed to be a person who escaped from an asylum - the character's supposed to be extremely educated and intelligent. The knife murder by toothpick-sized frail Verónica Echegui was also a bit hard to accept (can you say 'judo-chop'?). They could have at least had her use a friggin' gun.

The script was pretty bad as well. In the beginning of the movie, the cops are all over the place. And later in the movie when people are running over pedestrians and firing weapons all over the place for _a_long_time_, there isn't a single cop to be found! Did they all get raptured? This movie makes me miss the old classic action movies like Die Hard, where we had only good actors, a great story, good effects and a great soundtrack. Not the crap that was Die Hard 4, but the good ol' trilogy.

I was wondering what was up with Henry overreacting in the trailers, considering I thought he was great in Immortals, makes sense.

Where did you read that he was instructed to overreact like that?

I don't remember, I just remember Cavill mentioned it in some interview that they wanted his character to appear very scared and basically hyperventilate (Im 99% sure he used this word) because he's a normal guy and bad people are after his life. I'll try to find this now, unfortunately I don't save interviews and such (too many of them).

Yey, found it! Thanks google!

‘Working on it was exhausting,’ Cavill Admits of the Madrid shoot, ‘It was six-day weeks and me running petrified scared. Not the Hollywood version of petrified scared-they really wanted me to be hyperventilating over-the-top scared.’

There's one audience review on RT so far... it's not good (and full of spoilers):

Quote:
This was, by far, one of the WORST movies I ever wasted time on. SPOILER ALERT - if you are ABSOLUTELY determined to blow time and money on this wreck, read no further . . . if you are still with me, you made the right choice. Bruce Willis dies the first ten minutes into the film, and is never miraculously brought back, he is dead. The rest of the meandering plot is one that leaves you looking at your watch, hoping they will bring Bruce back to save this otherwise ruined film. The weak love interest turns out to be half brother/sister. EEEEEEW!!!! As I left the theater, I wondered if I could get 90% of my money back as Bruce was in less than 10% of the film (and even THAT was not a believable role!). It is destined to be one of the WORST films of this millennium. And I'm not even gonna START on Sigourney Weaver. Let's put it this way - anyone associated with this poor excuse should be required to perform public service like picking up trash on the road to absolve themselves. Two thumbs down!!!
