So will the Vita TV have a digital store app in the box that you buy then stream games from then? Or does it have a cartridge slot?

It functions like a normal Vita, so it does both cartridge and digital.

so the games are downloaded, not streamed. so you still have to buy memory cards.

Yeah, you'll still need memory cards. It'll probably come with a small one if you're going all carts, though.

If Gaikai comes to this, I'll definitely get it to be able to play PS3 games.

This is huge. Vita is finally getting a Monster Hunter game. Many in the west may not care about it but this series is the reason why the PSP was a success in Japan

Tried to get into Monster Hunter, but it was just kinda boring. Good for the Vita though.

Agreed...I've tried MULTIPLE TIMES to get into Monster Hunter but I can't...Timed hunts don't help, lol. It's great news for Vita though, that game alone will sell systems.

I've always wanted to get into Monster Hunter, because it really is the gamer's game. It's all about skill, unforgiving and the anti-thesis of hand-holding, but the timing hunts kills it for me. That and I just don't have the time to invest that the series demand. I may still try and pick up MH4, though.

Not sure if this game coming to the Vita is going to help that much, though. MH is ****ing huge, but if I understand correctly, this is a version or a spin off from the MMO spinoff, and it wasn't as well received or as well selling as the numbered sequels. Plus it's also coming out on two other platforms, one of which already has an established MH base (Wii U). Not that I don't think it won't sell well, but I don't know if it's the game that's going to make it for the Vita in Japan.

Gaikai confirmed for Vita TV. Definitely an enticing purchase whenever it comes to the states. But is it a subscription service with access to a library or can you pick and choose what you want to buy and play?

Sony described it as Netflix for their past library.

Should probably wait til the library has expanded a bit then. Still, cool that a $100 box has that capability.

A $100 console that can play PS1, PS2, PSP, PS Vita, PS3 and PS4 games (via native support, streaming and remote play) is sick. If they market this right, it could be a game changer. When they launch it in the US, they need to beef up its media capabilities as this could be a strong contender to Apple TV

PS3's confirmed as part of the Gaikai integration, so PS2 is all we're waiting on.

Can't it play the PS2 classics off of PSN?

I think the Vita itself would have to be able to do that too, which it can't sadly.
