Wow, thanks for posting that video demonstrating the animatronics. Stuff like that should have been put on the Blu-ray release as special features because, sadly, they're barebones except for TMNT. I've always been interested in how they got the Turtles to move how they did. Especially when I was young. Man, I thought that was so cool. One of the things that made me want to become a filmmaker.

just rewatched the 2nd film and many many things a new movie can be improved on

the 2nd film is extremely cheesy and simple

the 1st film is easily the best

Sequels in general are inferior to the originals. Very few sequels are ever even on par with the originals. Secret Of The Ooze was of the typical movie sequel line. Rocky 2, First Blood 2, Halloween 2, Friday The 13th 2, and Predator 2 are all exceptions to the rule.

When I had first heard about this remake, I was cautiously optimistic. Dispite the fact that Bay is involved, I was hoping it would be good. While I didn't care for Pearl Harbor, or any of his horror remakes, I found Transformers to be a fun, if mindless, action film.

But after everything I've read about the Ninja Turtles remake, I'm afraid this is going to be another Bay bomb. I have no intention of seeing this movie if the proposed changes to the basic story (ie: making the turtles aliens instead of mutants) are in fact being used.

It's fun, but nowhere near as good as the first Movie. It simply was more geared toward kids. You see that in the Turtles not even properly fighting, more just messing around and barely even using their weapons.

oh and Turtles deserves more than just mindless fun, even in the most goofy and lighthearted moments of the old movies it still had a warm heart and a mind of it's own.

I hope Bay stays away as much as he can from this film.

It was just too "kiddified" for my taste. The first one was an excellent blend of the original comics and the cartoon. The second was in some ways even more cartoony than the cartoon. At least in the cartoon the turtles got to use their weapons (if only against robot ninjas). In Secret Of The Ooze, the only one who got to use his weapon was Donny, and even that was kept to a minimum.

it's not all about slicin and dicing and adult ninja stuff for me personally when it comes to TMNT.

Oh no argument from me on the technical side. The animatronics and stunt choreography were just as good as the original, possibly even better due to higher budget and technological advancements between films.

It's just the added goofiness of the characters (more so than the original), and the unnecessary toning down of the violence kinda ruined it for me. I just wish someone would explain to these so called "film makers" the simple concept of "If it ain't broke, do try and fix it".

I'm not entirely against change

I've done turtle redesigns myself I am actually ok with giving Donnie a zanbatou

I just want them to be changes that are small not big changes

if they aren't teens I won't cry because to me their brotherhood was more important and honestly when me and my brother get together we act like idiots so get the " they will act like teenagers" line but I just want them to keep the mutant backstory in there and the growing up in the sewers of new york

that's why I like the turtles and batman is my favorite superhero

they really just need to get the turtles right

movie 2 and 3 are not as good as the 1st film but the turtle's personality/interaction,characters and charisma brings a bad movie to good territory

I think it would add more to mikey's character if say leo and raph were at odds, and he said something kind of heartfelt to ease them down and bring them to their senses. donnie i see more as "stay out of the way and be ready to clean up the mess" type. but that's just me. I can see splinter standing back watching and waiting, letting his "boys be boys" and being ready to straighten them out.
but yeah, leo is still leader and be the one to speak out.

Leo should be the meditative one

raph should have a very aggressive fighting style why leo's is very flowing
