Not really. If this were the case, the bo would not be one of a ninja's most effective weapons.

The bo (and all it's cousins) is an extremely underestimated weapon in both is offensive and defensive capabilities. A weapon doesn't need to be metal or sharp to be effective or even lethal. And as far as the bo breaking...that really depends on the type of wood (don't underestimate the strength of oak and bamboo) and the techniques used. A master with a bo will know how to defend him/herself against a katana without risk. Also, the steel used to make katanas is not very strong, and a bo staff can break a katana if it hits the side of the blade at a 90 degree angle.

Both weapons have their advantages. Both have their disadvantages. Its the knowledge and skill of the user that decides the outcome. Not the weapon its self.

I get what you saying and I do know how hard wood can be I'm Irish and own a shillelagh made of fire tempered white oak that has been re-greened but and I know it's tough as nails but I also understand it's still just wood

It's the freaking Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Donnie having a bo-staff and never breaking it – it is not very outlandish compared to other stuff.

I think it's meant to be an inside joke to Kid Cudi, and personally, he could be up for a role I could see him doing the soundtrack. But as a Turtle? Nothing against him, and I wouldn't mind a black actor playing one of the Turtles (it would be interesting; just don't make it stereotypical) but it's kinda random to have Cudi, who has some TV work, playing one of the Turtles.

I know, just seeing if people would believe me lol

I first heard it during an interview of Jason Biggs on AOTS. He just dropped that he would be playing Leonardo in Ninja Turtles, no more info or clarification. I was shocked and immediately Googled lol
