Decay? I thought those were his tribute to Roald Dahl.

Willie Wonka would be a pimp involved in the slave trade

The Oompa Loompa's would all be prostitutes

Charlie would be a crooked cop with a drink problem trying to bring Wonka down

This is exactly what I was thinking of

Wonder Woman as Lady Gaga with a magical bondage lasso, an invisible jet and an island of kinky kangaroo riding lesbian bff's with purple healing rays

It would be the best comic book ever if DC had the guts to publish it

Don't forget the time they freaked out about Superman drinking beer on the cover of Action Comics

If Wonder Woman were inspired by Lady Gaga I'd be absolutely thankful that comics don't have sound.

I like Gga.

And Ke$ha.

Actually, Ke$ha's voice is extremely attractive to me for some reason.

Because Lady Gaga embraces alternative cultural and freedom of self-expression and diversity.

When she was created, Wonder Woman represented similar concepts; a challenge to the status quo of accepted norms of gender roles and sexual dominance.

Exactly

Lady Gaga is a better modern version of Marston's Wonder Woman than Wonder Woman herself is right now and if DC really want to 'fix' Wonder Woman and get her book to sell they need to make her and the Amazons what Marston intended them to be

And Lady Gaga is an incredible source of inspiration if they dont know how. This is what they need to do with the character of Wonder Woman

If Wonder Woman were a real person she would be Lady Gaga

But with an invisible plane

Honestly, I think Lady Gaga's attire and style belies just how rational and, well, normal her social philosophies are.

But I guess that's kind of the point.

if lady gaga's philosophies are all about self expression and diversity and stuff, thats cool. that works for wonder woman. i dont think it requires referencing lady gaga to accomplish that, but okay. but, i think when you do reference her, its not her social philosophies that first come to mind. its just all the weird for what seems to be for the sake of weird that pops up, which doesnt exactly jive best for WW.

Well, I think Kurosawa merely was drawling the comparison as showing that having someone imbrace self-expression is flesh and current enough for them to integrate it back into Wonder Woman's character successfully. I don't think he meant to make Gags her sidekick or give her a meat suit or anything.

I will say though, elements of Gaga's fetishism could be slightly integrated into WW - purely because WW had a ton of that kinky stuff in the '40s.

With all due respect; that's a bit of a stretch. Wonder Woman may indeed share similar philosophies regarding acceptance and diversity, but with vastly differing methods. Wonder Woman is not about shock value for attention. I'd hate to see Lady Gaga as her wardrobe person....she'd be traveling in a giant transparent egg! WW leads by example in a much different way, plus she's stronger and faster.

Well I didn't mean they should make Wonder Woman a pop star and have her start wearing bacon

Though that could be amazing

I meant like Cconn said that Gaga's activism and her attitude that all people are equal and deserving of equality and that its okay to be 'different' and her belief in self expression and being who you want to be

It's those qualities that the majority of Gaga's fans myself included adore about her

That's what Wonder Woman should be

Definitely

They need to bring all that kinky stuff back to the comic books and portray it in a smart, fun and positive way.

Smart, positive, and funny are good; but that is all relative to the readers interpretation (as is all of this fun stuff).

Amanda Palmer's? She's kinda disgusting.

Plus you'd be sleeping with Neil Gaiman's wife.

...okay, maybe it'd be worth it.

She's not disgusting.....she's just got this kinda, dirty Victorian thing going for her. And yes, getting Neil Gaiman's sloppy seconds is a plus.

My main point is to sell Wonder Woman in this modern age and to keep her true to her creators intentions, the GaGa audience is what they need to aim for. I'm not a fan of her music personally-although I do think she has talent, but a lot of her philosophy and what she stands for I am 100% behind. I'm old fart as hell about my comics and music, but I can't support discriminating against anyone over their sexual lifestyle and choices. Being LBGT isn't a choice, and even more important, it wouldn't make a damn if it was. Homophobia really just turns my stomach.

Now I'm off to listen to some old Beach Boy tunes on YT while I read Mort Superman stories
