It's the production notes for Wrath of the Titans.

I've had the feeling most of the League of Shadows members were ex-prisoners. Bane's comic origin and background fits into this as well, anyway. Even Ra's threw him into a well in the ground in Bane of the Demon from which he escaped.

Well, the Nolanfans dude who "confimed" it was a fraud. And the set report itself may or may not have been legit (also could have mixed him up with Pence). Also Neeson has denied it on several ocassions.

Yeah pretty much, it's the same spirit. In the comic he gets his crew from going back to the prison and he has a famous reputation. In this movie, he breaks criminals out of Blackgate and will have a following for telling the truth about Dent and starting a revolution.

I think the original question is how did Bane find the fanatics from the prologue.

Ah well, if he had such a infamous reputation before the events of TDKR, eg. CIA taking people up into planes to get info about him, I’d say Bane is a person that became like a myth, and that can attract a certain type of person. It interests people. He maybe didn’t even have to look for them, but decided if they were good enough to join, etc. Just some random thoughts. Could be wrong.

That reminds me, one of the more (most?) frequent writers at the lovely unlinkable CBM wrote in mid-June of last year that a scene had just been filmed (presumably in Cardington but he censored the location) where Ra's and some hooded dudes break Bane out of prison. The "source" was uncertain whether it was Pence or somebody else. The next day on June 15th is the day Neeson was reported by Hitfix and Variety to be in TDKR and had already been filmed for his role on June 13th. I always thought that was weird timing. It's late in the morning. I should probably just forget it.

Speaking of Neeson's return, the Pence version of his character at least is the only true confirmation we have of "flashbacks" taking place in the film. Considering we know how the film opens, and it's in the present, I wonder where these flashbacks fit into the movie.

Talia related is my guess. During her reveal sequence?

It will be a sight to see if Bane is somehow involved with Ra's Al Ghul before or after he met Bruce Wayne. No doubt in this film, we will learn of Bane's story. He doesn't possess that Joker and Catwoman mystery we all want to stun us; his fascination as a character is more physical to me, having that he's a physical chap, so I would figure it would speak more that way.

What is truly enduring about Bane, to what I believe, is that he speaks only on response or if spoken to. There's an intelligence to him that makes him that grungy, silent killer type that makes me wonder what he'll do or say next. That kind of delivery is far different from I perceive Heath's Joker to be, so I think it should be a spectacle.

Do you guys remember that article on CBM, in which they stated the prod asked for something like 1000 fake batman costumes?

I think Bane maybe portrayed as an almost cult leader type character. I mean, the guy who stays to die on the plane seems pretty willing to die for Bane.

Yes, I agree. If they're not LoSers (see what I did there?) carrying out Al Ghul's mission with Bane as their new leader, then he must be really charismatic. And, tbh, I don't think they're LoSers.

It would be funny if he did end up in the film.

You mean in the present part of the narrative? Because as of today it's official he will indeed be in the film.

I don't think they are LoSers (nice btw) either. I think he and his "cult" might collaborate with Talia at first, for resources, a way into Gotham etc. But then i think Bane will have his own motivations and vision for Gotham. Like, she'll be his benefactor, but he'll double cross her.

Agreed. For all we know he's considered a mercenary, and he may be too well known for being a LOS member.

2 hrs and 16 mins is not short by any means. It sounds like a perfect length for a movie like this whereas its predecessors frankly felt a bit too long. It's not like they're going for 80-90 minutes.

I didn't think BB and TDK were too long, but I agree, 2h16 is still enough to pack a lot of things

I thought TDK only really dragged after the Joker's capture, but in hindsight it couldn't really have been made any smoother considering how dense the story was.

To be honest, I'm convinced they are LoSers. I know they're described as hired guns, but they're clearly fanatical, and to have two clearly fantical groups in the film may be somewhat redundant. I mean what we're insisting with this line of thought is that a weakened LoS are outsourcing some other similar group, but if they really did have the global reputation that Ra's claimed they did (sacked rome, burnt london to the ground etc.) wouldn't hiring someone else be kind of beneath them? I mean if they're defeated they're defeated, and they clearly aren't.

I think Bane will have nothing to do with the Ra's flashbacks - those will be related to Miranda.
