I know it's kinda late for s comment like this, but yesterday i saw Warrior and I was blown away by Hardy's performance.

There was one scene where he is with Nolte on a Casino (i think). The way he acts with his eyes there, the anger and aggresiveness he shows with just his eyes is perfect for a character like Bane.

has there been any discussion about bane getting big in this. so far tom looks normal. does he at any point take that arm band off and turn the dial and pump up and get huge?

He stands on taller steps than Batman, and there will be TONS of camera trickery.

I think the shots in the trailer/sizzle reel where Batman and Bane throw down at city hall proves Bane will be the same height as Batman. The teaser shot had us all fooled.

Tom's slightly shorter than Christian. I don't think they'll bother with any tricks to make him look taller, nor do I think they need to. Tom looks ripped when he's without the jacket and you see his arms. I don't think people will struggle to believe he's a killing machine.

People were fooling themselves if they thought Bane would bulk up from Venom or even be 7+ feet tall.

He still wears lifts making him about the same height as Bale.

Honestly, I prefer Bane to be the same height as Batman. Bigger and taller doesn't necessarily mean intimidating or scary or anything like that.

Hardy looks fine, but really, if you're getting pounded into the ground you're not really caring if the aggressor is one inch shorter than you or not. You just want to escape with your life.

Absolutely.

His power-lifter/strongman appearance is more suitable for the character, he's not there to show-off his abs, he's not supposed to be a ripped out-of-his-mind bodybuilder; he's supposed to be brutal and nasty. He's there to "crush skulls, crush rib cages, stamp on shins and knees and necks and collarbones and snap heads off and tear his fists through chests, rip out spinal columns".

well, its just confusing because his left arm band seems to conceal something.

he also has a neck scar and the mask. it looks or seems like all of that serves a purpose. i think that maybe bane does have a point where he does get big and uses venom thru his mask.

otherwise, why have the mask, the vest, the arm band and the neck scar. its serves a purpose.

I have a feeling that somewhere in the movie, and I am guessing in the finale we will see Bane either become stronger somehow or become an instant animal/killing machine due to a hidden dial or his tubes being broken.

Just my five cents and opinion.
