This is good news and that is a scientific fact.

A Zoolander sequel would be good too.

Lister: This is stupid. Why are we talking about going to bed with Wilma Flintstone?

Talked to one of my friends who is totally obsessed with the movie earlier. I suggested that we both have to wear suits to the movie. He said they would have to be new suits, to which I responded I may have to buy mine at the toilet store.

But seriously, I am totally planning on wearing a suit to the theater.

You know what, I gotta admit....I am listening to Ferrell giving an in character interview as Ron Burgundy on The Dan Patrick Show...it's pretty funny. Desperate or not, I'm getting excited. I don't know how accurate it is but he says the next movie will chronicle his transition into the 24 hour news cycle. And Barry Pepper is playing Ron Burgundy.

Barry played Robert Kennedy in the Kennedy miniseries. He was actually pretty good. I think he got an Emmy award (or at least nominated) for his portrayal.

I'm pretty sure it was just a joke. Obviously Barry Pepper will not be playing Ron Burgundy.

At any rate, I'm rewatching Anchorman, all this news got me in the mood. It's been a couple of years. It still holds up really well. The gang fight is just so damn funny.

I wish I could rewatch Anchorman, but unfortunately, for me it's like a lot of comedies that are ****ing hilarious the first time you watch it, but not nearly as funny on subsequent viewings.

I don't even know if I think an Anchorman sequel is a good idea, but I was so excited by the announcement and the way it went down on Conan - which I had no idea was going to happen - that I don't really care. I watched the first again today, and, yep, it's still hilarious.

Anchorman will never lose it's funny for me. It's still as hilarious now as it was the first time I saw it.

For me, it was the exact opposite effect. I saw it the first time in the theater and wanted my money back. Saw it again on DVD and laughed my ass off. I watch it w/friends every so often and it's still funny as well.

Some films are just weird that way for me. I think it takes a minute to get used to the timing of certain comedians -- didn't like Austin Powers or Robin Hood: Men in Tights when I first saw them, either. I swore both of them weren't finished, like there were too many long pauses where the actors were still trying to think up dialogue. Now I could watch them endlessly.
