Oh, okay I gotcha. But Julie ( whatever her last name is), the tall Penthouse/Playboy model chick was the one he married and based the design of the heroine in Heavy Metal F.A.K.K. 2 after, not April. I think it was said they were engaged for a short time, but then went there seperate ways.

I wouldn't have mind a black April . I actually don't mind Fox either. The fact that Bay is even connected worries me more. Hopefully though he'll keep his ego in check and give us a fun solid film.

Because the original comic was b&w and April's ethnicity wasn't clear was it then the cartoon that just went and established her as Caucasian? After all the cartoon took many liberties from the comic.

i remember the TMNT:Arcade Game has Pizza Hut placement ads. i even remember the NES game coming with a coupon for a free pizza at Pizza Hut.

Actually, the early 90's. I remember when my mom bought me the VHS of the first movie back in 7th grade. It had a commercial for pizza hut on it, which I always thought was weird, because the pizza they ate in the first movie was Dominos, and they never did any other TMNT ads or anything like Pizza Hut and Burger King.

No she was caucasian in the B&W Comics., but I think Eastman and Lairds artwork made he look racially ambiguous at times. In Issue 2, she almost looks like Fred Wolf's cartoon April. But after she got the Jeri curl/Afro, she started to look more ethnic.

Dude, I remember that commercial, heck I still remember the words lol. I use to watch the TMNT movie 2-3 times a day at least.

A lil boy was playing baseball in the commercial. Back then it was the thing to go to Pizza hut or McDonald's after a baseball game or any summer sport really. Anywho, the song was by Peter Paul and Mary, "Right Field"

"....then suddenly everyone's looking at me. my mind has been wandering; what could it be? they point to the sky and I look up above. and a baseball falls into my glove. here in right-field, it's important you know. You gotta know how to catch, you gotta know how to throw. That's why Im here in right-field just watchin the dandelions grow."

Listening to the hip hop/techno , pop tracks from the TMNT and TMNT : Secret of the Ooze soundtrack in my walkman. Playing the arcade game on NES. Buying the Mirage comics from my local comic shop, and the Archie TMNT adventures from Rite Aid ( back when drug stores, gas stations, and groceries stores actually carried comics). Damn I wish I had a time machine.
