Update the outfit for next solo film

Note that he has a good excuse: serious combat tends to leave his outfit tattered. Even if they didn't actually change the design, he'd need a new costume pretty often, anyway. He's not Superman with the invulnerable spandex.

It would make more sense to keep the suit, but I'd much prefer for him to wear his old one. They could explain it by him wanting to go all retrospective.

again, if his suit is thicker or more protective than hawkeye's or black widow's, something has gone terribly wrong.

Yeah, there really is no point in having him to continue dressing like that in the modern movies especially with TWS being more of a spy film. He'd look sorely out of place doing a reconnaissance mission in a helmet and bright red spangles.

Then the movie would be called "Steve Rodgers: Winter Soldier" and not Captain America... No, they should not take Captain America's suit away from him in a Captain America movie. That would make zero sense.

The helmet is not necessary for it to be a Captain America movie. If anything the only thing that is really needed is the shield and some variant on the costume, which the Agent Rogers suit does.

Nope, agent rodgers suit is not a captain america variant.. it's Agent Rogers.... again, this is a Captain America movie, he should have a Captain America suit, not an agent rogers suit.

Well, no, it's not being a nut, it's knowing the difference in the characters. When Steve Rodgers was wearing his Agent outfit or his "super soldier" outfit, he was no longer Captain America. Therefore the suit of Agent Rodgers is not a Captain America suit. The agent Rodgers suit has a whole other meaning and symbolism behind it, very different from Captain America, just like other persona's that Steve has had through his past in the comics. Steve has also been "Nomad" and "The Captain", but I don't see anyone hear asking for elements from those suits.

Edit: think about it with a different character.. let's say Bucky... Bucky has had three main identities in the marvel universe so far.. Bucky, Winder Soldier, and Captain America... three different phases in his life.... so if a movie was made about him being Winter Soldier, would you want him wearing his Bucky Captain America outfit? Or parts of his Bucky Cap outfit? No, because it's a completely different meaning and persona of Bucky.

Now, back to Cap/Steve... if they ever make a "Steve Rodgers: Super Soldier" movie, then yes, he should wear that Agent Rodgers outfit, that's what it's meant for.
