The costume in TFA was one of the reasons the movie worked. It was realistic enough to not be as silly as the comic counterpart (which was perfectly spoofed in the film), and worked for Captain America to have the poster boy/mascot/symbol iconography as well as being functional for his fights in the war.

I just wish we'd gotten a better film to go with it.

I will never cease to wonder why Marvel couldn't wait a few years to do Avengers so we coulda gotten a proper origin film.

2012 coulda been the year of IM3 instead of Avengers.

With regards to Cap, his costume is fine, not perfect, but fine. Thor is my main focus anyway.

Adjustment Bureau guy would do a good job with a Cap film that is more SHIELD/spy centric. Such as Winter Soldier, HYDRA or AIM.

The rest are garbage IMO

Directors rarely return for sequels. They don't sign the came extended contracts actors do.

As many faults as I found with the first film (all in the second half), a Cap sequel before The Avengers would neither make sense nor would it have fit into MS' production schedule until Avengers was coming out next year.

The only way he even would have survived the fall would be if Zola experimented on him/augmented him. That can all be explained later on if need be, I'm sure that's why they left it ambiguous.

He fell. A long way. Augmented or not, even Steve would have been killed in that fall.
