Once again nailed the part. Hiddleston's screen presence is amazing, and he's nigh on impossible to look away from when on-screen.
Was also part of the funniest moment in the film where Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:

Favorite quotes? "It's fun to be a box of cats." and "If someone can actually get through the sort of the leather and the metal and this sort of shell of anger that he has maybe they can like, give him a hug … I don't know." Umm... I'll gladly get through the leather & metal and give him a hug

But like I said, I think I could have gotten away with it in Thor, but in Avengers, he'd probably stab you through the back.Still, worth a shot.

just saw the movie earlier today. Tom brings his A game and is phenomonal in this. Truly truly great. A bit dissapointed on how he's defeated but that's the only major problem I have with the movie really.
my favourite bit?: Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:

I have to admit that when I first heard about Hiddleston being cast as Loki in Thor, I was apprehensive (I had flashbacks to Wes Bentleigh in Ghost Rider for some reason). But he's nailed this character more than I could've hoped for.

In America nobody had ever heard of Tom Hiddleston at that time so I hadn't formed any opinion one way or the other about his effectiveness in the role. Same went for Chris Hemsworth. I only had a cursory knowledge of Thor and his universe anyways so portrayals were the last things on my mind. I was mostly thinking how in the world they could adapt that character successfully from the comics with all the "Thees" and "Thous" and make it appealing to a mass audience. Thankfully they were able to create a very solid, entertaining film from the source material.

Yes, Marvel really did well in trusting the acting abilities of those two men with their respective characters. They were certainly pleasant discoveries, but those of you in Great Britain and Australia exposed to their talents early on respectively knew that already. Of course Tom Hiddleston excels as the sympathetic, realistically portrayed villain who's just makes some pretty bad life choices, but Chris Hemsworth does a very good job portraying Thor as the tough, strong willed yet paradoxically sensitive hero. You just believe that in the way they created their characters these are people that you can see as living human beings you can encounter in your life despite them being super powered beings. In short they're not your stereotypical, fictionally unreal comic book characters and more genuinely authentic entities.
I just read that interview posted above, and I find it interesting that Tommy's playing a vampire in his next movie. I hope it's going to be a good movie in that the Twilight movies did a disservice to the Vampire Romance genre in general, mostly because the source material was so poorly written. I also hope it will be good because as much as I like Johnny Depp movies, that Dark Shadows movie is a disappointment for me because it's being played as a campy excursion and less a tragic Gothic romance like the original Soap Opera was. It sounds to me like Tom's vampire movie will be what I was hoping Dark Shadows would have been.

Even though I liked Loki more in Thor, he was still good in the Avengers.
Looking forward to see him in Thor 2!

It's good that Loki is going to be around for a while. Each movie is getting a chance to show different facets and developments. Thor showcases his resentment and deceit, Avengers his megalomania and dreams of grandeur....who knows where they'll go with Thor 2.

Personally I'd prefer if they waited a bit longer for his redemption phase. I think that he's going to be resentful and bitter that he lost, and probably terrified with the **** that's going to rain down from the heavens after what he failed to accomplish for a certain someone.

Well there's the Thor series and the Avengers series... a total of four more movies Loki can appear in at the very least, assuming there are 3 parts in each. If Thanos is involved in Avengers 2, you can be sure that Loki will have a part to play in that as well, along with Thor 2

Tom interview in EMPIRE MAGAZINE.
there's also other interviews with the other cast members on there too. http://www.empireonline.com/intervie...w.asp?IID=1497 http://www.empireonline.com/News/story.asp?nid=33793 "It's part of the thrill of the character," Hiddleston explained of his ongoing sibling rivalry with Thor, dropping a firm hint that their relationship still has some distance to travel. "Thor and Loki are defined by each other. Thor's reason for being in The Avengers is that Loki is on Earth and he has to get him back. What'll be interesting in Thor 2 is how it takes what happens now as a springboard. Natalie Portman will be back in as Jane Foster and the relationship between Thor and Jane will be extended, expanded and developed." A redemption theme may play into Loki's arc, too. "What Chris Hemsworth and I would love", expands Hiddleston, "is to be allowed is to have a moment - maybe not in Thor 2 but at some stage - when Loki is forgiven."
