I think Thread Manager needs an avatar. Maybe Ilyn Payne from GoT.

Q: What'd he say about Cap?
A: He didn't say anything of interest, no complaints.

Q: Ok then, I don't really care about spoilers/details - I'd just like to hear what your friend thought of the movie and if he had any particular complaints.
A: He loved it. He really had no complaints, he just thought the film could have had a much bigger scope.

Apparently Hawkeye and Hulk steal the show. Even in scenes with Iron Man. Jeremy Renner was really good, and my friend also thought Ruffalo KILLED Norton as Banner.

Loki apparently reminded him of Heath Ledger's Joker. He didn't know what it was but there was something about the way Hiddleston played him. He seems to think Loki is the best Marvel movie villain yet.

Q:
Well, here are my questions: How are Thor's and Hulk's power levels displayed? And their action scenes; does anyone of them stand out more ? Is it explicit shown which one is 'the' powerhouse?
I know they are somewhat silly, but I'd be very happy if you could answer them.
A:
He didn't really comment on power levels, but I got the impression from him that all of them got there chances to shine... I don't think any of them really stand out as "the" powerhouse.

Q: And did your friend mention who the aliens might be ?
Did he stay for the post credit scene?
A: He didn't say who the aliens were, but he said they were pretty damn cool... he said there was no post credit scene. I am guessing it was probably because they didn't include it for the showing.

Q: What did your friend say about Thor and did he say anything about Loki's being more powerful in this film?
A: Not much about Thor, only that Thor shows off a lot more in this movie... he had no complaints so I guess it is all good. He seems to think Loki is the best Marvel movie villain to date.

I think that's it.

Exactly. I didn't see anything in Igiff's posts that hadn't already been said elsewhere.

And this thread needs some Echostation.

Speaking of toys...

Avengers Movie Lego reveals...

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
Ultron. At least that's what is said in an article that was published at CBM five days ago.

Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout Lego set includes a monitor that shows a face very similar to Ultron's.

Is it Ultron? Who knows.

Until now, Avengers Movie Lego has been very true to the film. In fact, all the Lego sets seemed to be exact interpretations of film scenes. While I don't think that Ultron will appear as a robot in Avengers 1, it could very well be that he exists as a kind of artificial intelligence (like Jarvis) that becomes a robot in Avengers 2.

Just my 2 cents about the whole post-credit scene thing. I've posted it on the other thread as well.
The guy who originally said the scene is the longest out of all the MS films heard it from a source in the UK. RIM works for Marvel Russia and saw the finished film in Moscow. iGiff's source, on the other hand is probably based in the US.

As we know, normally Marvel cut out the post-credit scenes for press showings. It's easier to cut content out like that in the US, since they just get the finished film in English, but with foreign markets, it works differently. They get a DIALOGUE and TEXT/TITLE-LESS version of the film/trailer (perfect example - the new trailer:
VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:
), and then the local distributors dub over it, insert titles in their native language (maybe the official logo animations are sent from Marvel) and that's pretty much what's distributed around said country. It would be cheaper for those foreign markets to just use the theatrical print that they've already finished for the press/advance screenings, instead of them cutting it themselves/getting Marvel to send a special version to re-dub etc. With the UK, the case is they have the Avengers Assemble title so they count in that foreign market territory. The only exception to that is France - they're only showing 45 minutes of the film on the 14th because they probably haven't finished the dubbing/localisation process yet. Hope that makes sense.
So in simple terms - US peeps aren't getting the post-credit scene, while the rest of the world gets the entire film, but not in IMAX 3D for the advance screenings this Sat.

Ten posts? That would mean that every few minutes there would be a new thread. It would be a nightmare to navigate and administer.

Early indeed! Thankfully I don't work Friday night like I usually do, so I'm totally doing that as well.
