Not much about TDKR except a mention that she was filming TDKR when she did the audiobook and she listed Bale as an actor that completely "let go" (along with Meryl Streep, Penelope Cruz, DDL). She talked a bit about Brokeback Mountain too and the cast specially Heath. Lots of gushing about Meryl Streep. She said Emma in One Day was her toughest role.

It's a great listen overall - she talked a lot about the acting process.

I think some people were more than disappointed, there were countless heated discussions of how she looked terrible and nothing like Catwoman, how Anne couldn't pull it off, and if it were really Catwoman she'd have a cowl etc..

Well to be fair... she really didn't look ANYTHING like Catwoman in that first pic.

I keep saying this but I thought she looked so unlike Catwoman in the first pic that I didn't even entertain the notion it was more than a prototype outfit/sneaking suit. The fact the file was named SelinaKyle.png didn't help matters. The disappointment really sank in finding out the goggles flipped into cat ears and that was... it

At least at that point she resembled Newmar, though.

People overreact too much to seeing first pictures. They don't realize that it's only one angle and the only one they've seen so they don't have anywhere near the whole picture. They also don't realize that every new reincarnation of any given character whether it's Batman or Superman or whatever is always going to have a new look and not what they previously think of as "Catwoman."

This will all happen again 10 or so years from now when a new Catwoman is in the works. They will see the picture, it won't be what the expect, and they will panic.

I really never had a problem with that first picture, and it grew on me quick.

I really don't see the logic in it, to be fair. To show our first image of Catwoman as her with the goggles and most of her costume concealed with the batpod is like if the first image they showed us of Batman in TDK was him with the sonar eyes. It's perplexing.

I think she looked more like her source material character than Bane did in their first images. People just expected her to look a certain way, were less open to change, and ultimately let down.

The craziness actually started during the summer of 07 when every one started campaigning for their favorite actor to get cast as the Joker. With this film, people have (slightly) more faith then after BB. Sure BB was good, but it wasn't TDK.

But yeah, it's one of those you wish you were there and you don't at the same time. A lot of the debates ended up getting needlessly repetitive, but still with the same intensity because there were so many new posters that were coming in because of the hype for TDK. It was an exciting time though.

Don't disagree with you there. It looks like a behind the scenes shot on an incomplete set. There's no doubt in mind IMO that it was hastefully set up...

speaking of that, I think I remember Jett saying he was contacting his "sources" in WB telling them to release something before the 'nasty spies caught her on set and get credit for uploading it to questionable websites', and we immediately got that before spy pics (which laughably, were better quality than that still) flooded in of her and her stunt double in city hall. In other words, I get the sense it was all his fault.

I'm sorry if anyone gets annoyed with me but Hathaway would been great Harley Quinn. I'm sure she will be great Catwoman though. Another thing I don't see Harley been side with Nolan/Ledger's Joker and if even he did he probably killed her later on.

Yeah I was thinking that. Nolan's Joker doesn't work with anybody, he isn't on anybody's side and his only plan is to "watch the world burn." Harley wouldn't have fit.

I think Hathaway could have made a good Harley Quinn. I find it really funny that that's the role she thought she was meeting about. I thought only major Batman fans knew who Harley was. Even though I don't think she should have been in The Dark Knight or even The Dark Knight Rises, it would have been interesting to see Harley Quinn in a Batman film, especially with Heath Ledger's Joker. Would have been an interesting pair. When The Joker is in another Batman film, someday, Harley should be included if she can fit.

I like Harley in comics, animated movies and video games but I love Catwoman a lot more. So yeah I wanted Catwoman in TDKR which we will get.
