Keaton is a handsome enough dude, but that hair was pretty bad. Unfortunately that thin, mullet hairstyle was "in" back in the late 80s, early 90s. Obviously it lost popularity quickly because Keaton cut it to a more normal look for BR in 92.

That's part of why I love this incarnation of Batman so much. My opinion of the Batsuit notwithstanding, all of the costumes in BB and TDK are relatively timeless. The suits and the hairstyles, etc... There's no way to put a definitive timestamp on these films, whereas B89 and BR look so dated. Granted, they are over 20 years old already...

It will take little more than a more comic inspired suit (perhaps made of the same material as the MOS suit) for the rubber Batman costumes to be completely dated.

Everything starts to look dated after awhile, whether it's the SFX, the hair & clothing styles, the on screen technology (any movie made before cell phones & laptops) no matter how hard the filmmakers may try to be "timeless".

Yeah and that was the whole issue, he didn't look like batman, yet he acted something incredibly fierce to come off as attractive and dark and intimidating.

Plus his chemistry with Michelle was scorching, in the few scenes they had. Christian and Anne better hope they have at least a quarter of that heat.

Of all the things Nolan can top/has topped, the chemistry between Bruce and Selina is one I'm nearly positive will not surpass what was presented to us in Batman Returns.

Hope I'm wrong though.

There was a real naughtiness in Batman Returns that wasn't just limited to Catwoman/Selina. I mean everything had a dark innuendo, Michael and Michelle just played off the tone of the entire movie, but with Nolan doing his dark and serious thing the whole film, it's going to be extra hard for Anne and Christian to steam things up on screen, it's going to be a real test to make it work on both levels (bruce/selina and Batman/Catwoman)

Dare i say, making their relationship work is probably Nolan's biggest test in this film.

Nolan said Selina is presented as an enigma, and casted Anne because she can suggest a history for the character that's not in the script and never spelled out. So if she's a stripper, for example, I could see this being alluded to with some of her combat moves. Maybe the audience themselves can draw their own conclusions about the Falcone connection.

I dreamt of seeing Catwoman putting Batman in a waistlock (with those long, leather thigh high clad legs) and pulling him towards her forcefully while sitting at the edge of a roof with the pale moonlight bathing her and Bats in blue. Don't f****** disappoint me Nolan.
