Well, it is Prophet, technically but he's in Alcatraz's body. Wasn't it by the end of Crysis 2 the nanosuit somehow kept Prophet's persona alive and he took over Alcatraz's body and are now in control. I still can't believe how they kill of Nomad, in a freaking comic?

But Psycho is back, that's great.

Yeah, on the whole I feel the story was convoluted too much for its own sake.

I hope the AIs are better this time around, it's a bit all over the place at times.

Same here. My favorite missions in the second game took place during the night, specially the mission in Times Square.

Here's an interview with Rasmus Hoejengaard, Crytek's Director of Creative Development.

Looks like the game will not be coming to Wii U.

The first one is on Steam but the 2nd isn't, it's on Origin & last time I checked it was £15.99.. still cheap enough but at the moment I'm still enjoying BF3/MW3 so I don't wanna blow anymore money until I've got bored of them.

Crytek justify having aliens in Crysis 3

at 04:33pm April 25 2012

Since the chunky mutants in Far Cry, Crytek have had a strange fixation with putting inhuman enemies in their shooters. The feedback from both players and reviews always seems to be in favour of more human combat, but the aliens from Crysis 1 and 2 are back in force in Crysis 3. I asked senior creative director Rasmus Højengaard, like, what the hell.
PCG: Something we hear a lot from our readers is that they enjoy fighting humans a lot more than they enjoy fighting aliens. Are you ever tempted to scrap the aliens?
Rasmus Højengaard: No. We don’t wanna do that… the alien part has been defined more clearly [in Crysis 3]. And once you start understanding how they function as a race, and what they’re doing there and how they communicate, all of a sudden there’s much more context in shooting it. And that’s when it becomes interesting.
Rasmus couldn’t say whether you spend more time fighting aliens or humans in Crysis 3, but said both have a heavy presence in the game’s domed-off jungly New York. You can see how the game’s shaping up in the Crysis 3 trailer they released this week.

That's surprising. I thought we already had enough games with human enemies. I like that the game has both.

Crysis 3 screenshots tread deep into the urban jungle

Comments 23
Tom Senior at 03:50pm July 24 2012
Crysis 3′s busy environments aim to strike a balance between the blazing beaches and steaming jungles of the first game, and the crisp tower blocks of the second. The results should hopefully provide an exotic middle ground between both titles, but the set dressing is less important than the size and inventiveness of the areas themselves. Crysis 2 funnelled your super suit’s spectacular abilities down narrow channels signposted by giant gawking bits of UI lettering. Hopefully the third game will let us experiment a little more with the neat new toys, like the nano-bow, and the gun that fires 500 rounds a second.
These four screenshots, spotted on Evil Avatar, don’t have the answers, but they are quite pretty. Take a look.

Crysis 3 producer dances around Wii U possibility

Crysis 3 for Nintendo's upcoming Wii U console is a "possibility," producer Mike Read said recently, noting the company is working with Nintendo, but stopping short of any official declaration.

"I wouldn't say there's no chance," he said in an interview with CVG. "I mean the Wii U still doesn't have any kind of release [date] attached to it at this point. Who knows what the future will bring with it. I can definitely say that we are working with Nintendo, and that's about all I can say on that front."

Crysis 3 is due in February 2013, a few months after the Wii U's expected holiday launch
window.

This footage of Crysis 3 shows an extended version of the E3 demo in which Prophet assaults and explodes a huge dam. This time you get to choose at the start of the demo whether the player will take the cloaked, quiet approach or the noisy I AM GUN MAN YOU DIE NOW approach. The sneaky style sends Prophet to some high ledges where he skewers passing guards with arrows before infiltrating the dam through some ducts. The high-octane playthrough rips mounted cannons off their hinges and charges through every alarm in the building. Tragically for the dam, the outcome is the same.
