The new movie really got me interested in Transformers again and I was wondering what are some good Transformers comics?

Thanks for the help. If it's not to much trouble could someone post a link to something that will have the TBP in order please?

Anybody check out the Avengers/Transformers comic crossover team-up?
It's really good, a fun read. Good artwork, the covers are done in a dumb manga style but the inside art is good. actually the first cover didn't look manga. the second does somewhat and the third will look like that garbage. 2 issues so far. Light Spoilers ahead... Decepticons are trying to start a war between Latveria and its neighboring country and they want to use Earth's SuperHeroes' powers to energize themselves.

Beast Wars The Gathering, a four issue miniseries last year.
Beast Wars The Acending, a new four or five issue miniseries coming out this year. Megatron Origins, a new comic series currently ongoing right now. Transformers movie adaptation, four issue miniseries for the movie. Transformers Movie Prequel, four issue miniseries about the events for TFs leading up to the movie. I reccomend each of these, so be sure to check them out.

Are the TF comics worth reading? Thinking of getting a few to satiate my TF lust until the DVD comes out.

Their nothing like the G1 show.Their more indepth story telling and many of the charters are 100% different. The Dinobots are a prime exsample of this.In all the Comics they came from Cybertron at 1 point or an other in the show they were created on earth.

I would say yes to both. The Marvel could be a bit geared twards children at times but it was still good....and you should try the Marvel U.K. run as well.

The old Marvel UK stories were awesome. I Know IDW are planning on reprinting the old Dinobot stories which were really good and they recently reprinted the Target 2006 story.
Also the new IDW Gen 1 stories are a whole new take on the story so would be a good run to get on board with. If you want more of the Movie stories then they have done a prequal and plan on doing more stories as well. |

Awsome. We now have the official TF thread. O think I'll post reviews for each TF comic I read. Anyone like the idea?

I dont know what you heard or from where.........but none of the comics ar like the show.Even that Marvel U.S. G1 run was greared twards older readers. The Marvel U.K. run even more so.And both DW and IDW have marketed twards older readers with long plot lines and interweving stories.
