How is MLB anymore exciting to watch on TV I have never learned...NHL is a great sport to watch, its just patience is required as its not a constant shootout

There's also a reason why math and science lag behind. What's your point?

I was really hoping the Rangers were going to make it.

Good Luck to NJ. I may not be a fan but I'll cheer for my adopted hometown.

SI has a blog saying that statistically speaking, this is the worst Stanley Cup final ever. Since the Kings were #8 from the west, and the Devils were #6 in the east. They were also respectively number 13 and 9 in the league overall.

But, that's why the game is played, why playoffs are cool, and why the BCS can go to hell.

I don't care who wins, I'm just glad all the a**holes are gone (the Rangers, the Flyers and the Caps... well, not the whole Caps team, just Ob**chkin).

If you look at seeds alone maybe, but these are two hot teams with two great goalies in the two biggest media markets in North America.

I don't have a horse in this race but as a hockey fan I'm really looking forward to the finals starting on Wednesday night.

The top seeds in the NHL playoff always seem to go down early. I don't think it's that big a deal.

Great game one. Flipping back and forth between this and the basketball game was exhausting though. Luckily that last goal happened during a time out of the basketball game (IT IS TEH CONSPIRACY!!!!) so I managed to catch it. Beautiful goal.

Fun game although you could tell both teams were playing tight early on. Devils missed some wide open nets, and the Kings basically scored on themselves off of their own d-man's face.

Sucks that we have two days off now before Game 2.

well the Rangers do make a habit of getting guys on the wrong side of 30 and offering them way too much money, so it isnt completely out of the realm of possibility.
