It would've been a great fanservice, but it's not going to make or break the movie for me if there's no "Avengers Assemble" in the movie.

If I ever get the chance to meet Chris and ask him famnwanky questions I'll ask him to say it regardless if it's in the films or not.

That and ask him to say 'Flame On'

In the new clip, I like how when Thor is talking to Cap at the end, his hammer is flying around off screen most likely beating the **** out of multiple aliens.

I think many of the Avengers are pretty powerful and/or very cool, but when it comes to style points I think Thor has it in spades.

I have five questions for anybody who has been lucky enough to see one of these early screeners:

1.Does Nick Fury kick ass? I mean, in person. Samuel L. Jackson kicks ass by existing.
2.On the scale between "70/80s Ferrigno Mute Hulk" and "Avengers:EMH", how much does Hulk talk, and how intelligent is he when he talks?
3.Is the invasion by Loki's army only focused on NYC, or is it a global invasion?
4.How much screen time do the supporting characters from the other movies (Pepper's cameo, Selvig, etc.) have?
5. Would it be possible to watch if you haven't seen all of the previous MCU movies? Because, like, I have a friend who only saw the two Iron Mans and TIH (I'm not quite sure why he's still my friend), would he be completely lost?

I've seen a couple of posters with the clip of Thor deflecting energy blast from the aliens, I know it officially released but I don't want to see any of the action clips until I see the film.

So can you all please not use footage from video clips because some of us want the visuals to be saved for the actual film, I'd appreciate it alot.

In an interview with Joss Whedon, he said that you don't need to see the previous films to follow the Avengers.

bosef had said a few days ago that the Hulk speaks roughly 4 lines.

Going back to the speculation about Coulson possibly being the one who dies...

Somewhere in the pages and pages of bosef answering various questions, I'm pretty sure I recall him saying that "Joss Whedon never lied in an interview".

I could also swear that at some point, I heard that Joss stated in an interview that he did not kill off Coulson.

IT IS THE HOPE I AM CLINGING TO, OKAY? (Although I am also wondering if bosef might not have known about that particular interview of Joss's.)

I still think that "the fans will be sad" statement could apply to Happy Hogan. He is not at the same fan-favorite level as Son of Coul, but I have the sense that people are fond of him, especially given who he's played by.

And, I also still think that the descriptions I've read of the scene so far seem like it fits Happy more than Coulson. i.e. Tony especially being really upset.

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
I also think that killing off Happy would make sense in a couple of other ways for the IM franchise, whereas it just seems like Coulson has more "legs" -- they just put him into the animated Spider-Man show, didn't they?

Well, of course Whedon will say that, what would he be saying? "HAHAHA, IF YOU DON'T WATCH THE OTHER MOVIES YOU WILL BE LOST AND CONFUSED!"

People should watch Iron Man, Thor and Captain America to get ready for it

There is no point watching Hulk though because the character is totally different and much the better for it

Hulk was easily the worst of the 4 films, but it seems like he is the BEST character in Avengers

So all is good

I wouldn't say he's the "best" character, I think having a new actor and astonishing special effects contributed to him standing out.

Yeah. From what I heard he is basically the star of the film.

To me, Captain America was the worst film out of the four. Red Skull was nonexistent (poorly written) and the third act was messy and insufficient whereas The Incredible Hulk was more engaging and organized.

In order, I'd rank them as:

The Incredible Hulk
Thor
Iron Man 2
Captain America

I've seen it tonight at an advance screening. Reviews are embargoed but I can safely say there is a ****load of action and visuals that you will not have seen in any footage. It's packed with action.

Also, Hulk seems more convincing when in a team movie. It takes the focus off just him and whether the look is convincing, especially when you surround him with other superpowered/fantastical characters.

But it does seem like something the fans will absolutely love. It may be too brash for the more arty critics; i'm interested to see what those sorts of reviewers will think.

Don't read this if you don't want the new scene being shot potentially spoiled;

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
I have heard that the new scene with Tony and Bruce is of them working on Coulsons body, which was recovered quickly. Glimpses of green and gold armor similar to that of Ironmans' being moved around and soldered/welded.

That was the information I was given, read into that what you will.
