I wouldn't mind seeing Jean on the Avengers or FF. Get her away from the X-Men for a while, let her branch out.

Ive always wanted her in the Avengers pre-AvX. Now, Im not so sure. Honestly though I wouldnt be surpised if a new book emerges after this event which combines Avengers and the X-men. If that ended up happening, Id love for her to lead it

Why can't Jean just stay dead and the Phoenix Force be left alone?

because the phoenix represents life, death and rebirth....the moment Jean died with the PF people were expecting her to come back.

...and no one stays dead when they have an 'X' on their belt

If there's one character in all of comicdom that should die and be reborn over and over, it's the Phoenix. That's part of the character...

We live in a time where writers have brought back Bucky, Jason Todd, and Barry Allen. Of course Jean Grey (of all people) won't stay dead. Frankly, I'm waiting for the day Uncle Ben comes back.

Dead should stay dead, even a Phoenix.

The Phoenix has become something that the X-Men franchise can never get away from. It's too ingrained in several of the characters, plus writers tend to look toward the histories of these characters to create new stories. After one of the primary X-Men becomes the Phoenix twice, her alterna-daughter becomes the Phoenix, the founder of the X-Men becomes the Phoenix, several students become the Phoenix, and other random characters all make contact with the damn thing, there's really not getting rid of the Phoenix for the X-Men.

It's like when people say they wish the X-Men would go back to having only one or two comic titles. Um, yeah, and where are writers going to stash away the dozens of characters that've been added to the X-Men over the years? There's no going back.

They don't use em anyway.....comic limbo exists...or rather doesn't exist for a reason.

A majority of the X-Men are being used in an X-comic right now, though. The only spare (living) characters I can think of are Professor X, Husk, Dazzler, and a handful of New/Young X-Men who aren't in 'Wolverine and the Blowfish.'

It's not like a few years ago where every writer wanted to use the 80's Claremontian team at the same time, and a good portion of the Comics section of the X-forums here on the Hype consisted of people (myself included) whining about a lack of exposure for their favorite characters.

No, that day will come when Uncle Ben turns out to be Peter's father all along.

Didn't we get dangerously close to that with Trouble?

Yeah, I went there. And now you're forced to remember Trouble.

Not if I carve out my own brain!

Jean coming back is all but inevitable. I think at this point the only people inclined to stay dead are those whose death's served as the raison d'etre for the hero, ie. Uncle Ben, the Waynes, etc.

And even their eternal rest isn't guaranteed. But they have at least a better chance of staying dead.

Yeah, I could still see Uncle Ben or the Waynes coming back for an arc or something because some d-bag writer believes they have a story that's just too important to leave them in their graves.

She is on Scott's side but isnt a featured character in any book. She is set to be the star of the upcoming X-treme X-men v2 though

Cap cannot take on Logan.....Logan has too many natural weapons.

I thought issue 3 was a big improvement over the first 2 issues.

Haha! Well we got the results of the Dr. Strange vs Magik fight
Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
and she kicked his azz!

Loved issue 3. Loved Iron Man calling Cap on his behavior and handling of things and how he is acting like he was in Civil War

Love Rachel leading the Avengers on a wild goose chase.

Should BW do herself a favor and go home?

Or they write it from a logical perspective regardless of favorites....

I like Cap more than Logan. But I have enuff sense to see that he's outmatched.....Cap is hitting metal everytime he strikes Logan with his fist. He's breaking his own hand. Cap got sliced.....Logan heals right up.

Cap knew he had no way of dealing with him except throw him out! and he needed help to do that.

Don't be surprised if Widow beats Magik to trade off for the win over Strange.
