Question. They say they have only shown us certain snippets of the final 30 minutes of the movie. So which clips are those?

I just don't believe it HAS to be 40 minutes long because its the last battle. But I'm hearing they did it flawlessly so I'm all about it... I'm very happy reading these reviews

As others have said, the final battle was long and intense. I'll tell you this, it's so engrossing that you won't sit in the theater checking your watch every couple of minutes to see how much time has elapsed. That one battle had more action than a whole slew of lesser superhero films combined.* And if you've paid any attention to the action at all you won't have the energy to question the length afterwards.

* The entire X-Men franchise, the whole Fantastic Four franchise, Superman Returns, Green Lantern.

That was such a good scene. Hiddleston and ScarJo owned that.

oh man. i am just consuming these spoilers like a glutton. i just hope that TDKR wont have any advanced screenings. i just wouldnt be able to control myself.

anyway, for those who've seen it. what would be most noteworthy technical moment in the film? any brilliant tracking shot, transition, long take, sequence, montage?

Loki is contained in a cage in the Hellicarrier and Fury wants to find out what his next move is. So Widow goes in there and starts talking with him about Hawkeye (who is under Loki's control.) and what he'll do with him after he's done with him because she cares about him. Loki plays nice for a bit and then starts screaming at her that he'll have Hawkeye viciously murder her and then break his spell on him only to have him realize he murdered Widow and be covered in her blood. Widow yells at Loki that he's a monster and Loki cracks and yells "IM NOT THE MONSTER THE MONSTER IS THE ONE THAT YOU BROUGHT ON BOARD!" and Widow gets calm and says "So that's your plan, Hulk, heh." And radios to Fury to get Banner into containment.

I'd really recommend seeing this one for yourself. But if you can't resist...
Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
Basically she comes to Loki in the cell to bargain for Barton's life. Or so it seems. He tells her he expected her to show up as the "friendly method of persuasion" after Fury and Co. tortured him a bit, not so soon. He inquires about her interest in Barton, asking if it's love. She says, "love is for children. I owe him a debt." Then she tells him her backstory with Barton from back when she was an assassin. She says she's got some "red on her ledger" that she's trying trying to make right. During her whole story, Loki acts sympathetic and then totally flips, listing all her past victims he shouldn't know about (but learned of from Barton) then telling (more like yelling at) her exactly the horrible death he has in store for her ad Barton. She breaks down and calls him a monster and turns away. Then he says something about the Hulk being the monster they were foolish enough to bring on board, and then she turns around...she was faking the breakdown. She says, "so Banner's the reason your here? Good to know. Thanks." Or something to that effect, then leaves.

It's a really good scene, and Tom legitimately scared me when he flipped out like he did.

ETA: ...aaaand everyone beat me to it.

I have a question regarding the after credit villian

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:

1. If someone can go more in detail about his outfit? Preferably the head gear? Is it blue and yellow? With the yellow ridges/points above his eyes?
2. Is he addressed by name? Do we hear his name said at all? If someone doesn't know/read comics, will they not know who he is?

thanos I am talking about obciously

There's not really any Black Widow/Loki fight. She has a nice scene where she tries to interrogate him and find out what he's up to.

Since I haven't asked one yet.... How is Hawkeye received after basically helping Loki break out earlier in the film with Tesserat? Do they question his motives after the mind control has worn off?
