Back on the main topic, will the trailer be shipped attached to The Avenger's print or with as an optional add-on. If it's attached to the print I would think it would play with early screenings also. Or am I wrong about that?

^ Which really pisses me the **** off!!! NO-BODY wants to watch crappy, ****** bootleg versions of trailers!... But because the studios are always to goddamn SLOW to launch these trailers online, people always hence to see bootleg versions first! And it sucks, cause you don't really want to, but it's just tempting!... And what happens! two days later, it's launched in glorious full HD online! These studios are really not thinking clearly. They KNOW that bootlegs are leaked! They simply can't stop it! So the only thing they can do. The only thing they really do control, is the opportunity to release that damn trailer BEFORE stupid bootleg **** gets leaked! So at least the public sees that FIRST, so bootlegs will become non existent... Their choice, really. But that's ALL that there's choice.

Avengers is proof that WB never realesed trailers on monday so that fans would pay money to watch it in the theater.

I'm kind of surprised really. You just know that WB wants summer bragging rights. Why help The Avengers box offfice?

They could've put it with another WB film like Dark Shadows and it would've been fine.

Makes perfect sense to me. They have a comic-based movie which has huge hype and which will probably see massive viewing figures (Avengers), so they attach a trailer to it for another comic-based movie which has huge hype and will probably have massive viewing figures when it's released a few months later. WB & Marvel may not be bedmates, but this is a win-win situation for both of them - the trailer may draw in a few more DC fans who hadn't planned on seeing Avengers, and likewise there may be Avengers/Marvel fans who see the trailer and decide to see TDKR based on it.

I can't see Dark Shadows filling half the seats that Avengers will.

Besides i think people overestimate how many people actually go to films for the trailers, especially considering the trailers are online a couple of days afterwards. It's not like a large contingency of people who never planned to go see avengers absolutely need to go now because of a couple of trailers that will be online soon, it's stupid.

elgez no reason to explain it. he knows that with Avengers more people will watch the trailer. he jsut doesnt want a marvel movie to show a DC trailer. and the same with DC movies showing marvel trailers. a lot of fans had a problem when the spiderman trailer was with Superman Returns.

and everyone knows that TDKR and Avengers are 3 months apart. which means that noone is taking any viewers.

The Avengers is going to break records despite the TDKR trailer. The hype and reviews are out of there. Which makes the move to include the trailer before it a mutually beneficial move. Nothing wrong with that.
