I was taking a look at the sales charts and I see Legion of Super-Heroes, Demon Knights, I, Vampire, Frankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E., and Resurrection Man below 20k.
I also get Blue Beetle, Savage Hawkman, Fury of Firestorm, and Legion Lost which I was considering (i.e. was going to) dropping, but if they get cancellation announcements, I'll just finish them off. |

But I could definitely see Resurrection Man, Legion Lost, Firestorm...those kind of books. I bet LOSH and Demon Knights lasts a little longer just due to who's writing the books.

I dunno. While it does seem a bit much to can 9 titles in one month (even more if you count Captain Atom, DC Universe Presents, Voodoo, Grifter, etc.), these titles are just no longer sustainable. Ending them at issue #12 would be a good spot to end these titles right before the 0 issues come out in September.

That is true.
Personally, I think having 52 titles is too many to begin with. Especially since DC chose ****** ass creative teams for at least half of them.

To celebrate its one year anniversary, DC is doing line-wide #0 issues. I forget if there's been any news on what those #0 issues will entail.

Hopefully origin/background stories that clarify continuity.

DC's continuity hasn't been clarified since 1986. I highly doubt they're gonna start now.

Are they going to be in place of the regular September issues or in addition to? Basically, doubling their output for that month.

Sounds like Batwoman will be the only DC comic book that I'll be buying in September

They did do the #0's with origin info back during Zero Hour. It's just another case of DC repeating themselves really. I don't even care about the new origin stories so I could pass on the new #0's. It's actually a good jumping off point for me.

Some of the Zero Hour number 0's weren't origins, even. The Robin issue 0 was awesome, because it had Tim teaming up with a time-displace Dick, when he was still Robin. But there was no origin there.

After almost 24 years of on and off collecting floppies I only have so much space to keep long boxes in. The decompression of the stories and prices of the books don't help either.
It's a hobby that in some ways just doesn't even seem worth the money every single wednesday anymore. I'm pretty much just going to trade wait the ones that I'm interested in once that time comes around for those reasons. I had a good run but I've pretty much seen it all by now in superhero and alternative comics anyway. Having read collections of the golden and silver ages that came before me was a good enough experience. Living through the modern age; I was fortunate enough to be born at a time where I could grow up seeing masters pioneer all around comic books as a craft with a visit to the bookstore or comic book store and some money in my hands. I have enough classic stuff in storage for my tastes. The books today while enjoyable in their own right just aren't compelling enough that I HAVE to read them every month. Except for Sweet Tooth which is the only one I will continue buying since it's almost ending. Actually come to think of it I'll keep buying Morrison's new Batman story for the same reasons since it's finite and I own pretty much that entire run in floppy form anyway.

Justice League International Annual #1 has been announced to be written by Geoff Johns and Dan DiDio. It will lead to an event that spans across the Justice League group titles later this year.
