I don't regard "elitist" as a negative term. It's not my fault if some Americans feel threatened by people who can speak full sentences with proper grammar and words with more than one syllable and have an appreciation of finer culture and an awareness of the world around them.

It's like my friend once said: "I don't get the whole playing politicians like they're just your average Joe to get votes. I don't want somebody like me running the country. I am in no way qualified for that job. I want somebody WAAAAY smarter than me to have that job."

Here's the thing about Scientology, as crazy and unbelievable as it is, it's not any weirder or more unbelievable as any other religion. Think about it. Burning bushes? A man living in a whale? If you had never read the bible or knew anything about it and I told you story of Jonah and the whale and then the story of Pinocchio, would you be able to tell which was the fairy tale and which was out of the bible?

Aye, but what I would want is someone in charge who is extremely smart, but also completely honest, and how often does that happen? Power corrupts, and in the case of that happening, the smarter the person is, the more dangerous they are, because they will be smart enough to pull the wool over everyone's eyes while getting away with any kind of crime they feel like commiting, and anyone who figures them out will be in the minority and branded a fool or a nutter.

Why do you think Jesus is so famous? Because he changed water into wine, cured lepers, any of that stuff? No, it's because he was an extremely smart leader who was completely honest, whose power did not corrupt him. That is probably the most rare combination of qualities you will ever find in a person.

I see this lady on the bustop with her son everyday who only lives two short bus stops away from the bus terminal which is the last stop for the bus. You can litteraly see the end of the line from her house. But instead of walking she waits for the bus everyday and curses out the driver because the bus is to full to let her on so she waits for the next bus. They're too busy giving themselves money for being awesome that they can't do anything else.

It's all fictional money anyhow. The only ways out are to lower taxes to an insane degree to get people spending money on things thus kick starting the economy. Or you could utterly devalue the currency and have everything wiped out and start again.

I just don't get it though (and sorry if this is just what happened in the UK, cause i'm not too clear on if it was the same in America), but I just full on don't understand why the government had to give money to BANKS...

I mean, how do banks work? Banks are businesses that make money right? People at the very top make a lot of money in profit from loans and stuff right?

So why would it be up to the government to give them money if the banks stopped making money? Why wouldn't they just have to use their own damn money, their own damn profits?

I just seriously, full on, do not get it. And i've yet to figure out if that's because i'm not educated in how it works (kind of like when I was younger and I just didn't understand why they couldn't just make more money and share it out), or if it's because is completely insane.

I also don't understand why so much goes unpunished, even when it's exposed by newspapers...

And I don't understand why it's okay that it's only rich people that can ever run the country, because it costs so much money to run for election.

And I don't understand why it's okay that politicians even GET a spending allowance, let alone how much they abuse it. I'm sorry, but if you get a nice big wage, that COVERS you're damn expenses!
