The real stories behind these movies will never get published. Until all the key players (the ones who still hold sway in town) are dead and buried and their estates/heirs promise not to sue the author's ass in court.

So yeah... they'll never be publicly revealed.

Has Tarantino had problems like this on any other films? It just seems so strange. It seems like actors (and often big name ones) usually are just on board with his films right off the bat.

Can you elaborate? Or is there a good site with all the dirty details?

Was it the script, Tarantino's antics, or the cast not getting along at all? I almost want to see videos of this leak out, a la the infamous Tomlin/Russell dailies from I Heart Huckabees.

This movie seems to be generating a lot of controversy. I don't whether to be excited or worried.

Proably over the way De'nero character was written. His character was boring and useless in the film.

Pretty much, and it's sad when an actor like De Niro is a useless side character.

Well, if that's true, then I hope De Niro also blew up at the directors of The Score, Limitless, Hide and Seek, Godsend, 15 Minutes and Ronin.

wasnt this the point? having a very known actor in a small role ? isnt this what Tarantino a lot of times does?

I think he could still do it if he got a project worth a damn.

Wasn't a memorable role though.

He's too busy smoking pot and playing X-Box to make a movie.

That article actually makes a lot of sense.

If the parts were as small as that writer suggests, then it's probably not a big loss, regardless of why Russell left. Kurt has been a little weird for a while now, anyway... I remember him going on a tirade back when they wanted to cast Gerard Butler as Snake Plissken. I would have understood his frustration if it was because he thought Butler was a bad actor, but for Russell, it was all because "SNAKE'S SUPPOSED TUH BE AMURICUN!" First of all, Butler can do an American accent, pretty well, actually. And second, Russel starred in the abysmal Escape from LA. Though he originated the character, his involvement in that embarrassment of a movie cheapened the character nearly to the point of no return. He was practically a parody of the Plissken of the original film (which to be honest, I find overrated).

It sounded good in Law Abiding Citizen. The movie was dumb, but he did fine.

I'm actually a big fan of Buter, but his American accent is dubious at best.

What's so subversive about this movie?

Oh God, yes that's one of the worst sequels ever.
