Agreed. I think it makes the most sense that he is left in the pit to rot, whilst Bane goes out and rules/destroys the City Bruce loves. And keeping the secret of Batman underground.

Would be cool for Scarecrow to try and gas Bane, he just laughs, picks him up,snaps his neck and tosses him like a ragdoll.

Sounds more like what happened to The Joker.

I remember why the Joker wouldn't wear purple in these movies.

That news Dragon posted is interesting. So would Jackstraw be doing all of that before Bane showed up? Very interesting. Thoughts?

thing will turn out to be true. But I'm not convinced said character would be doing these type of judgements early in the film before Bane even turns up. Or have rappelling goons at his disposal. That sounds a lot like Bane's men.

I'm not convinced of it either. We've been told things are fairly quiet in the first 30 minutes and that role sounds more substantial than Goku's info led us to believe. It'd be neat if he had tattered Judge robes, giving him a Grim Reaper-esque look.
Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
I just remembered one of Scarecrow's lines in the script piece Goku gave us was "Bane has no jurisdiction here" or something similar. Furthermore, maybe Bane sets Scarecrow up in this position before he arrives in Gotham. That way he arrives, stops Scarecrow to make himself look good in the eyes of the Gothamites
.

I feel ya. I witnessed that too. Now I'm getting all nostalgic.

I'm wondering if Scarecrow will look any different in this film. If he is playing judge I would like to see him in some weird macabre judge outfit with his mask on. Could look cool if handled right.

Yup.

I'm actually curious what scenes happen after Bruce escapes. We know he's going to ask for Catwoman's help and give her the Batpod but what other scenes will there be? Will he let Gordon know that he's back?

Same here. I believe Goku's info about the Scarecrow passing judgement (even to Miranda and Gordon) but not the one just posted where he's the one who put Bruce in prison and Bane and his men "rescued" him. There's more evidence suggesting that Bane imprisoned Bruce after beating him.

Thought: Scarecrows men capture Bruce after Bane has taken over the city. They try and sentence him to execution. Bane intercededs on Bruce's behalf, because he wants Bruce to watch his city burn, to face him on his on terms, and he wants to be the one to kill him. Scarecrow then declares "Bane has no jurisdiction here!" He could save Bruce, and still never tell the court that he is Batman. I figure Bane has no interest in outing Bruce as Batman. That information he would keep to himself. He could come up with another reason for saving Bruce. He then locks him up, and Bruce later escapes.

That's how I see that line fitting into all this. Man, I hope this court thing turns out to be a real scene. It doesn't have to play out like above, but that is an idea I had for how it might play out.

Bruce might be seen as an excellent poster boy for the worst of Gotham's elite. Hence Bane wants to take him so that he can make an example out of him.

Why couldn't Heath live a little bit longer to make this judgement...?

Reading Batman comics and being a lurker before TDK got announched in 2007; I can remember when Legions of Gotham announced the title of the film, and myself browsing through the old manip thread when Heath fan art started coming in.

How come? He could be just taking all the criminals then stops on Bruce thinking it doesn't make sense for him to be there. Bruce then says he wants to join and the "Gotham is in ashes" line is used in order to say what he expects from Bruce if he to join them.

There were posts yesterday on nolan fans claiming to know more about the pit prison, bruce being there, and bane. Most people didn't believe it but I didn't understand their logic, seems plausible. Thoughts?

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:

Post 1:
I have a bunch of info explaining the 'prison' scenes from the trailer 2. I'd consider these really significant spoilers and the source is legit.

Few things to set this up. Scarecrow is back in this film (as most of you know) and is sort of a judge figure in a corrupt court system run by criminals. They are basically sending other criminals and officials and who they see as 'corrupt' into that pit, which is essentially their prison. One of the people they cast down includes Bruce Wayne. The shots you see in the trailer where a bunch of thugs are trashing a mansion is them taking Bruce hostage essentially for his 'trial', before they send him to the pit. Note, they are going after 'Bruce', not batman. This all probably takes place early on in the film.

Later, Bane comes to town and wants to break these guys out with less interest in why they were 'convicted.' Some of the shots you see in the trailer of all people being tossed in, but the guys repelling down are Bane's guys. I am told you can actually see Bane dropping down in one of the shots if you look close, I cant see it, someone take a look. So, Bane's guys are coming to break out and 'recruit' some of these guys in the pit in the same way he broke out the orange prisoners in the trailer. Basically, building his army, if they want out, they are with him. One of the people in the prison Bane actually 'rescues' is Bruce.

Post 2:
Hey. Sorry if there was misunderstanding about what I said. I don't mean Bane was trying to specifically recruit Bruce or they face off down there in any dialogue. (Yes, that sounds absurd.) From my understanding, Bruce and tons of others are thrown into this makeshift pit/prison system. Batman is missing, time goes on, Bane comes to Gotham and starts trying to build his alliances. His guys infiltrate the pit to break these guys out, where Bruce happens to be. As for those saying 'fake and gay, bane would recognize bruce!!' - I don't have an answer, but keep in mind, Bruce is hardly even recognizable down there with long shaggy hair and a beard, and there are a ton of guys. (Though I do like the possibility that Bane may recognize him.)
I think the scene serves in Bane's interests as another piece in his growing army, and to get Bruce/Batman back to Gotham after a period where he was missing. Bane's not taking them hostages or holding interviews, he's breaking these guys out of a prison and building loyalties. I see most of you are calling all this bogus, I get it, I doubt everything also. But that's what I've heard from a loyal source, and to me it makes a lot of sense given what little amount we actually know.

Here's a link for one of the discussions. There were more, but this is just to give you an example of the nitpicking that has been going on here for years now.

These theories are actually very plausible; I myself noticed that Bane was being propelled down into the pit as well. They could all be guesses, but none the less, I am impressed that they correlate with the trailer and set shots that we have received. I'm hoping the new trailer that will come out this weeks sums up a few more things.

That supposed info will nullify any connection the "pit" has with either Bane or Talia and that's not happening. I'm positive that the pit has some sort of connection to Bane/Talia/Ra's/LoS. Why would they shoot Pence and Joey King in India if the pit is not connected to their story?

What I'm trying to understand is why though would send Bruce Wayne to a prison? And one that looks foreign, at that. The unraveling of this is going to be fun! Especially how Ra's flash back or current stasis is at the time, how it ties to Bane and Talia. Very No Man's Land...
