Jett's son is younger than five, and I'm sure he watches BB and TDK every Sunday.

Well, considering after the Thunderish reactions at Cinemacon's 5 min reel Nolan showed everyone with the sick IMAX shots of TDKR; I'ed say TDKR is more then just a massive superhero movie like Avengers and The Amazing Spider-Man, It's A Civil War Revolutionary Gritter Darker Superhero Film with an epic high level of legendary proportions that will skyrocket through grossing records and becoming the best Cinematic Masterpiece in history. >
![]() Btw Nice to meet you all Fellow TDKR fans. lol I'm Fullmetal, glad to be part of this superherohype community. ^_^ Btw, even though its already 27th and The Avengers are already being shown through out the globe; But something is off as to why TDKR's 3rd trailer has been shown with the movie and nobody has yet to leak out footage for TDKR's final 3rd trailer. I wonder if this WB's doing. You know, to keep people from different countries from recording it on the phones so they kept the trailer from leaking out all over the internet to keep us the USA from seeing it before May 4th. Sound about right if I may say? Because you all remember how crazy it was for the Teaser and 2nd Trailer (Also for the Prologue) when they first leaked out? WB's kept removing one site or channel on Youtube after another to keep the American fans from seeing before its officially released. It's annoying but It's their marketing campaign to hype fans and moviegoers to go see it instead of trying to view the internet so I'm not surprised lol |

But WB & Sony are releasing TDKR & TAS Trailers only in the USA on May 4th. Any Pre-Screening, Press Screening, Advanced Screening, International Release Date Screenings will not have the Trailers only in the USA

I just wanna chime in on the whole age thing, because... well, I WAS a kid at the time of Dark Knight. I saw it once, the first day with a couple of friends. Needless to say I absolutely loved it, and to this date it is one of my favourite films, but when given the chance to see it again with my parents, I passed. Why? Because its not really something a kid can justify sitting down for 2 1/2 hours for.
My friends were the same, and although I don't have a large scale authority on the matter, I think it kind of proves Rag's point. Most kids would've only seen it once.

Actually I did some searching into the code for the Harvey Dent site and found this:
http://waynefoundation.net If you go to the recent programs tab here: http://waynefoundation.net/recent.htm That stuff lines up with the events of TDK and what we, somewhat, know to be happening in TDKR.

I think every parent has to make that decision. To me TDK is too disturbing and violent for kids under 10, so I won't let my kids watch it. If other parents feel differently it's up to them. I think most parents probably won't be bringing small children to TDKR.

![]() And Ah I knew it. Thanks for that insite there. Its sucks International Screens can't get that before we do... T_T damnit! if only they could then maybe a lucky few brave fans recording it to seek and download a few captured footages of TDKR's 3rd trailer leaking out it would be great. Quite cleaver on WB and Sony's part, AGH! such torment to wait. I got ticket for the 3D IMAX for Avengers at midnight, but I only did it so I see TDKR's final and 3rd epic trailer. I wanna see it so bad it makes me thrilled as a Flying out of Hell! LMAO xD

Pictures from the Wayne site:
Wayne Enterprises ![]() NEW Gotham General (Joker blew up the old one) ![]() Second Annual Gala for the Park Row Revitalization Project and Park Row Clinic $630,000 at Second Annual Gala for the Park Row Revitalization Project and Park Row Clinic ![]() ^^^^^That's interesting because it reminds me of the Gala we saw a limping Bruce going into to, with the reporters asking him where he's been, etc.

I'm leaning towards fake, but it's kinda cool done. A bit on the ugly side, design wise though.

I am enjoying reading the conversation regarding what the makeup of the audience for TDKR will end up being. I agree with Rag in that my feeling on it is that children will not make the majority, percentage wise, of the audience who ends up seeing this film.
First, there is the rating at PG-13. Most parents will see that and avoid taking their say 5 year old son to see it. Sure some parents won't care as I have seen kids, and I mean those that are 5-6 years old, in films that were rated R. I kind of cringed at the sight of it being a father of two young boys, 4 and 2. I would never take my 4 year old to TDKR. In fact he isn't ready for Batman-TAS yet either. Alittle too violent for him even though it is a cartoon and besides The Joker scares his little brother. Anyway, my point is that the majority of kids who may attend this film will be 13 and up and more likely be teenagers, say 16, 17 etc. The film is simply too violent for young children to watch. The lions share will be made up of two groups: The first is Batman fans and Comic book fans like many of those who write on these boards. We will be the ones to go multiple times and we will be the ones who drive the BO on this film. But we will not go alone and will bring along the second group- Non fans. Non fans will make up the rest. These could be signifcant others, wives, husbands, families of Batman fans. It will also consist of people who like Nolan's series and are not comic book fans or even really Batman fans. For example, I have friend who has never read a Batman comic in his life. But he is a huge fan of the Nolan series. He has went with me to every film in the series to this point when I have seen them in theaters. But he represents a large portion of those who will see the film opening weekend and beyond. And that is great. I love taking people to films based on things I love and enjoy who may have never read a comic in their lives or who have a vague idea about what the film is about. For TDKR, we are planning to have my dad come along. He is no Batman fan, but he is willing and curious to see it. So we will be watching BB and TDK at my house the week before just to catch him up. I love that Batman is relevant again on film and am excited to see what my Dad makes of the series. I am thankful to Nolan and those involved for that. |
