oh...thank you, right back at you.
Anyway as for the spider-man thing, it was never going to rock the world, especially not on a year like this, and it's fine, it doesn't need to make raimi money, it needs to make Batman Begins money and acclaim, so they can get to the juicy 2nd part. That's why i feel so sorry for the film, it's doing pretty much nothing wrong yet it has absolutely everything against it. The raimi films are still fresh in peoples heads, the unfortunate fact that this film is being made solely so sony can hold on to the rights, the TDK tonal approach (which dosen't nessesarily eschew the fun and humour factor) and the fact that it's sandwiched between two absolute juggernauts in comic book films. So yeah pretty much this film's only hope is some great early reviews. I hope it works because I think Garfield as spidey is absolutely inspired, i haven't even seen the film yet and i already associate him easily with spider-man.

Why because Devin hates everything and everyone and Mori actually tends to like stuff? Yeah i can see the attraction.

No. Because Devin is actually a decent writer and his reviews aren't filled with frothing fanboy hyperbole.

I always thought it was funny that he gave TDK an 8.5/10, and people are still on his ass because it wasn't a perfect score. Sure, he said some honest opinions about why he didn't like it, but still said it was a decent movie, and people just hate on him.

He said the film was very good. Not just decent. I don't know what more people want. It's an astonishing leap over Begins.

Oh I haven't read the review, it's just that you mentioned he thought it was a decent film in your post. A "very good" seems way more reasonable indeed.

![]() No but seriously, I haven't read his review and I have no doubt he is a good writer, seems though from what I've heard I will personally not agree with him all that much.

He rated FF higher than Begins because he isn't a fan of "serious" Superhero films. To go from that to giving TDK -- an even more serious film -- an 8.5 and calling it very good means it impressed him a lot.

Believe it or not, he doesn't just write about Batman. His other film reviews are heads and shoulders above Moriarty's in thoughtful criticism.

He can write like Hemmingway for all I care, the guys opinion is directed by his own pettiness. His opinion isn't worth spit.

He wouldn't have declared TDKR as the most important CBM of all time.
