as far as I'm concerned, they don't know how to go about it. that's what they're afraid of. ****ing it up, and having bats retain some of that bombed stank from a possible JL film, and having that kill the franchise. the only other proven dc franchise was supes, and after the debacle of returns, they decided on ****ing zod again.

1.) No one in the Batboards uses the term 'realistic' (haven't seen it used in almost a year). You're right, there's nothing realistic about Nolan's Universe, but it's not fantastical either. The only people who use the term 'realistic' are newbies. Nolan's Batflicks are a dark and gritty modern take on the character and his universe.

So trust me, it's not 'realism' that's holding anything back.

2.) No one from the GA has seen Zod on the big screen (at least from this generation). So other than comic book fans, no one cares if it's Zod in a Superman film again.

Zod was the cheaper route for WB and Snyder/The Nolans/Goyer to take. Villains like Doomsday, Darkseid and Brainiac would cost a bundle more. MoS budget would have to been +200 million.

I'd love to see Neo-Gotham on the big screen. Plus, Terry Mcginnis has always been one of my favorite characters.

A Hawkman movie based on Timothy Truman's Hawkworld mini-series. Even a properly handled animated adaptation would make me giddy with joy.

Hitman by Garth Ennis. He would be tailor-made for an action film. Really miss that series. Enjoyed it more than the better-known 'Preacher.'

Production Budget: $75 million

Clash of the Titans (2010),
Production Budget: $125 million

A Wonder Woman movie will not take up more than half of its run time on Greek mythology (which is the case with Immortals and Clash Of Titans), the other half will be based in the modern american City, and she requires less elements that are based on CGI than Flash so it should be cheaper.

I thought the Aquaman TV show pilot had some interesting ideas. Terrible execution, questionable acting, but some good ideas. If you can't make Atlantis, the Bermuda Triangle, a lost prince with superpowers, the US Navy taking on sea monsters work in a film, you are in the wrong business.

But it should be a Summer blockbuster.

I would absolutely love a WW2 Wonder Woman period piece. A perfect blend of Thor, 300, Saving Private Ryan and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Mmm.

Personally, I think it would be incredibly interesting to have Wonder Woman grow into a role of political activist and - eventually - a Themysciran ambassador.

Personally, I think WW2 is integral to WW's origin as it explains both her reasoning for leaving Themyscira and her costume in a very logical way and ties in the Greek gods in a very compelling way (essentially, WW2 is giving Ares too much power on Mt. Olympus and as a political play, Athena sends Diana into mans world to assist the Allied Powers and bring about peace).

Plus I think Diana would fit wonderfully into the race and equality issues of the 1960s and early 1970s. It would not only play into her feminist origins but also progress and explore them in a very real and rational way.
