Superficial comic book accuracy does nothing for a film, ask Joel Schumacher and Martin Campbell, and intense action scenes does even less, ask Bay and his Transformers. What matters is all the stuff in between, and this TDKR trailer and Chris Nolan know this more than anyone and has created a film that doesn't label comic book fans or pigeonhole us into one subcategory, we aren't comic book fans to Chris we are simply film fans like everyone else, and he treats us all on the same level, never talking down to us or compromising, personally I prefer this, but it's just not for everyone, and i respect that.

While people are entitled to their opinions, and the ones who can back them up are cool, there are some who are confusing 'underwhelming' with 'understated'. And perhaps, and yes it's a rib, they're not the most constructive type. (i.e. emotional immature)

Just saw the trailer. It's almost perfect, if only they had left out the last Catwoman/Batman dialogue! It totally killed the epicness of that trailer

Hearing Bale's Batman again is lovely.
"Not everything. Not yet" gives me chills and "This isn't a car" makes me smile. |

It sounds like a good blend of the Begins and TDK voices.

And now the long, painful wait for the international trailer

So... Christopher Judge looks like one of Bane's men..... but his armor looks a tiny bit more different from the rest however.

The barrel roll was intense, is my eyesight failing me or was he evading rockets?

I think, yes. Considering the fact that camo tumblers have rocket launchers.

It was perfect Batman-Catwoman banter. Your sensibilities are obviously like Batman's - hence his deadpan, serious response. The whole point is that Catwoman is different. She is the laugh in the face of death type. Granted, the way they edited it in the trailer to be the introduction to the money shot of the Bat was typical Hollywood cheese - but I don't care. They had to put something in there for Joe Blow and I enjoyed it in a guilty pleasure sort of way. Obviously, it will be different in film.

how was it dumb? Sometimes it's hard to gauge fans because of their fickleness.

After 50th watch of the trailer, I think, I have noticed something.
There's a scene with Catwoman behind the bars. There's also the shot with Batman, who turns his head from the bars and sees Bane. So, it's probably Catwoman lured him into the trap. Hence the dialog between her and Blake "Did they kill him?" "I'm not sure". |

It's funny I was just thinking how Bane is actually making some of the same mistakes (or choices rather) Batman/Wayne did in Begins.
Bane is letting Wayne live, just like Wayne did with Ra's. Obviously they're doing it for different reasons with Batman doing it out of a sense of respect & compassion while Bane just wants to make this as agonizingly painful for Batman as possible. But the major similarity will lie when Batman returns to Gotham. I really hope he says a line along the lines of "You should have killed me when you had the chance". Bane in this shot isn't looking quite as much in control as he does in previous shots. Batman is starting to get to him at this point I think. ![]() History doesn't repeat itself but it sure does rhyme.

No offence??! Yes, I do find it offensive that they put that stupid and cheesy as hell dialogue in the end of one of the most dramatic and epic trailers I've ever seen!

I know people have given the added weightiness of Bane's voice some flack, but I have to admit when i first heard it in this trailer, it made me uncomfortable...which is probably the desired effect.
