The Iron Man/Thor fight could've easily been avoided. Talk about fan servicing.

I wouldn't want to wear a mask throughout the film, possibly obscuring my view in some way..but that's just me.

Yeah exactly. It looks like there's less CGI than in Rami's Spider-man. Also I haven't seen any CGI that looked bad to me. I think problem with Lizard is more the design itself than the CGI.

I actually bought myself a new Batman shirt that outlines the TDK's armor in rubber with a glow-in-the-dark Bat Symbol.

And one more comment about The Avengers before I sign off for the evening.

If you don't cheer during the Hulk/Loki confrontation, I will be extremely ashamed of you.

Oh, and that guy who told Connors "Have you told the boy about his parents?" could be Irfan Khan? If he's Norman Osborn... then that was a hell of a Green Goblin voice.
Horner has nothing on many other famous composers. He certainly isn't in my top 5, but he is a big improvement over who ever did the Rami Spider-man soundtrack. At least IMO but I don't see why others would disagree. If you do than that's the way it is I guess. I loved his Avatar score, it was probably the best thing about Avatar. Aliens also great. He has made a few film scores that catch my attention for sure.

You're not alone.

Sony Imagework once in a blue moon does a good job but for the most part they're awful. I mean just look at the Hulk for goodness sake. He craps all over the Lizard in every way shape and form.

I like his design. It's different, in a good way. But he's glossy, shiny. Very apparent CGI. And the other green character this year will make it even more embarassing.

The only CGI that was off for me was the Lizard releasing the biological thingy...whatever it is. Looked silly to top it off. But I don't think it's that much worse than Hulk, honestly.

Haha, the funny thing is that Elfman (the Raimi trilogy composer) is one of my least favorite composers. So, most composers would be an improvement over him. However, MANY would disagree with you about that, as many many people love Elfman and his work on the Spidey movies.

I liked his score for Avatar, but there are many self-borrowed moments in it to not be distracting for me. Aliens was great, agreed.

But I'll never forgive him for what he did to Star Trek 2-3.

Nah, I mean, we'll see but I've only worn a superhero shirt to a premier once in my life.

I might wear a vest to honor Nolan as well.

If I had to point out some CGI I kind of found lacklustre after The Avengers, I'd blasphemously point to the Bat at the end of the latest trailer tbh. As much as I loved the trailer and the shot above the city was cool, I was by no means sold on the vehicle being real. *shrug*

I didn't even know it was Elfman who did Spider-man. The score was so un interesting IMO that I didn't bother. I liked his Batman score. (Not as much as Zimmers, but I liked it) Also liked his Mission Impossible and Men In Black. Maybe a few others I can't think of off the top of my head. I'm not a big fan overall though.

IMO, James Horner should make a much better Spider-man score.

You actually just popped an idea into my head Doomsday. Usually when I go watch a movie I dress casually. I never wear superhero themed shirts or the like.

But for TDKR I might actually dress formally casual, if you know what I mean. Something like this:

It is the last TDKR film so I may as well.

All except for Spiderman 3........... when Elman leaves, you know something is terribly wrong.
