So is this second end credits scene of them eating, legit? Cause if so I'm okay with not getting it, the first one was far more relevant and interesting.

Think of it as an 'in-joke', if you don't know the context of it, you won't get the joke.

Just wait till you see the film.

I've seen the film and I get the joke. But if that's all I'm missing then that's fine. The first post credits scene was far more interesting for obvious reasons.

Signed up to say this but if you look in the pic Tony has no heart. There is no glow, maybe it is a pic of the cast taking a break?

There are actually several scenes in the film where the chestpiece is unlit, so nothin' unusual there.

Exactly.

TBH, it's probably a bit of cinematic history, though....first instance of someone getting "rickroll'd" in a movie theater

I suspect the second post-credits scene is important.

The team does go out and have a meal together. Enjoying each other's company (as seen in the screen-grab).

And suddenly, the Avengers Card beeps! And Maria Hill / Nick Fury's voice can be heard over the communicator. Latest threat detected.

Everyone scrambles off the dining table. And Captain America shouts, "Avengers ASSEMBLE!"

Credit rolls.

I can't wait to see the movie!!!!

No way the team re-shoot a segment just three months before the movie opens if the scene is not deemed critical. Imagine the laborous duty of bringing all these A-listers back on stage.

Someone in the production room must have noticed that the Avengers' famous catch-phrase was not uttered even once in the movie. Hence, the important second post-credits scene. Only for U.S. audience, because the Avengers is like a house-hold name over there.

Just a fanboy's guess. Make mine Marvel.

There's no dialogue in the scene at all. Meaning no "Avengers Assemble!"

It's just an inside joke from Whedon, poking fun at people who sit through end credits to find post-credit scenes. (Especially considering that Whedon just *gave* them exactly what they were looking for in the now famous mid-credit scene.)

Wow I never thought I'd live to see the day when a forum thread which is possibly questionable has been regarded as legit and OFFICIAL NEWS and POSTED ON THE SHH FRONT PAGE.

This... is AWESOME

As for the clip itself -- heck, i'll wait it out. I'll wait to see what it is. But damn, The Avengers Assemble tomorrow!!!!

Another after credit scene would be cool to see. I think they "disassembled" too quickly. I hoped they would show more scenes when they say goodbye in the Central Park.

But I'll believe it when I see it. No offense.;-)
Yup, that right there is a Doner Kebab (or Don's Kebab) -- that's what we call it in Bangladesh. Also, some places call it a "Desi" Shawarma.

But I shouldn't be looking at this... I shouldn't be looking at this... I shouldn't be looking at this...

Damn it. I need me some Doner Kebab right now. With Avengers thrown in for good measure. This is a good day to be back on the Hype

That seems to make it even better that way -- and i guess it goes back to what Marvel Studios' has done in each of their films. If it really is an inside-joke then I'll say that it's a good tone to conclude the movie/cinematic chapter on.

It is an after movie scene. It would probably be considered a climax killer if it was put in the movie. Also, The Avengers canon could exclude Thor altogether for portions or all of the next movie. Thor was not always with the group. Ant Man (lame) The Black Panther, The wasp... anyone could be brought in to replace Thor if he is, in fact, gone.

With ME I haven't had a slice of Sabro's ZA since the 90's when I was still north of Chicago.
When we were supposed to Guard the Rough-cut of ASM, I noticed a new Sabro's had had that sudden CRAVING for a slice but no cash lol

As far as I know only US audiences will be getting it (we did not have it here in the UK either).

Marvel just increases the turnover of shawarma. The shawarma snack bars should hang out posters of TA.
