How was the experience of playing Lois Lane this summer?

Adams: It was great. It was really good. Henry [Cavill] – I hope you guys love him as Superman – worked so hard. He is just yummy and really committed to the role. He really did a good job. I haven’t seen the final cut and I have only seen a couple of the teasers. So I am with you guys. I know it because I was there but there was so much that I wasn’t involved in that I can’t wait to see.

Is there going to be humor in your interpretation of Lois Lane? We’ve seen the humorous Lois Lane in some movies and TVshows and other times she is more serious and very competitive with Clark Kent.

Adams: No, I think she is a little more…we will have to see. I don’t know. I mean, she is definitely a pistol still and she definitely gets herself in a lot of trouble still. But she is not as competitive, I would say, with Clark.

Of course, him being less, or not at all, geeky would require another trait for Lois to pick on and for Clark and Supes to appear different. Maybe Metro-Clark'll actually be an aggressive reporter and Superman will be his gentler side. Or maybe he'll just be extremely anonymous.

this has always been a part of the lois/clark dynamic. she's not supposed to look up to him or even regard him as an equal. in fact, the very fact that she looks down on him goes hand in hand with the explanation as to why she, a world renowned journalist, has yet to figure out clark = superman.

we have to believe that she thinks "clark could NEVER be superman", and for that to happen, she has to be a little high and mighty over him.

There's a difference between being "high and mighty" over him and being completely dismissive. I hope their MoS dynamic is less Donnerverse and more like the animated series, where she had some actual respect for Clark while still remaining on her high horse.

I finally took flickchick's advice and watched The Fighter, so I could check out Adams in something aside from Disney movies. I must say, I was very impressed....very impressed. She definitely has some spark. That scene where she comes out on the porch to confront the sisters is awesome!!! The look in her eye....fierce! I didn't think she had that sort of range.

I am more convinced Adams is a good choice, but I'm still being cautiously optimistic. On a side note, I'm fairly convinced Christian Bale is a god. He is an amazing actor!!! Hands down!
