My perfect Lois would be a combination of that version and Teri Hatcher's. I'm not sure that's what we'll get with Adams, but I am very confident this version will at least be more likable than Bosworth and Kidder because, as I've said before, that's Amy Adams' superpower.

I will agree the Animated version was easily the best take on Lois so far. I'd go as far to say it was the only good take on Lois thus far that really made the character respectable. She really had her own purpose on that show and it wasn't simply to be Superman's love interest. Adams doesn't have much competition to make her version of the character stand out as the best. Thankfully I don't think they'll market Amy's Lois as swinging on stripper poles and sleeping with her editors. |

The only thing I'm iffy on with the animated series Lois was that she had a romantic history with Lex (I think this might be true for the Byrne interpretation as well).
The New 52 Lois will end up with Clark eventually. They are soulmates. Amy Adams will be perfect in this film. I'm certain of it. |

I think the New 52 is setting up Superman and Wonder Woman as soulmates. I'm curious to see if this carries over into the Justice League film.

Yeah, i'm still hoping that the JLA film is cancelled or shoved since any JLA film spells doom for MOS imho.
The only DC franchise that I want to see in 2015 is Amy and Henry returning for a MOS sequel. |

JL seems to be Warner Bros' biggest superhero priority at this point. They want Avengers box office.
It's a shame that both MoS and JL were forced into existence due to the incompetence at Warner Bros. |

It'd only be a shame if they both suck.

There's a much bigger chance of JL sucking, since it sounds like a very studio-driven project and doesn't have Chris Nolan involved.

JL is purely a knee-jerk reaction to the massive success of The Avengers, not something WB was forced to do out of contractual obligation. It had been in development, but killed after TDK made so much money. They revived it a year before Avengers came out, and accelerated development after the former made a killing. Apples and oranges, man. |

I'm aware of this, but both of those situations reflect the incompetence at Warner Bros. These films came into creation out of money and greed, instead of an actual interest in celebrating and doing justice to these characters.
It's rather disheartening when you think about it. |

Hence why I'm hoping that iF MOS turns out to be a big success that they'll cancel their attempts to make a JLA film in 2015.

The chances of that happening are incredibly unlikely. They want Avengers level box office for JL. I think MoS will be lucky if it does as well as Batman Begins in June, although the 200+ budget will make that a challenge.

Well if they can't find a director and solid cast by then they'll have no choice. Plus, I'm willing to bet my college funds that JLA will not be a success and will bomb even worse than GL and John Carter did. If a JLA movie is made and ends up killing the MOS franchise as well, then Warner Bros. should never be allowed to make a comic book film again. Either way, we'll be the only ones that lose from all of this.

Oh I agree that JL has all the makings of a disaster, just as Justice League Mortal did.
The only somewhat promising aspect is the Gangster Squad writer supposedly writing it in a very grounded way. JL needs to feel drastically different from Avengers in tone and approach in order to succeed and not be seen as a ripoff. Especially with Avengers 2 coming first that summer. |

Right now, I'm hoping that if MOS is successful that MOS won't be the last time that we see Henry and Amy play their iconic roles on the big screen. |

It is possible Henry's Superman will be in Justice League.

He's still pretty fresh to the whole thing so unless someone with clout says otherwise, they'll have him be Supes in that flick.

I don't see why he wouldn't, unless the general public as a whole hates him in the new flick, and he's re-casted.

Right now it feels like some kind of tragic alternate universe in which two soulmates somehow don't end up together and end up with other people.

So, if they don't who would you want Lois to end up with?

Why does she have to end up with anyone? It's funny how the character can't seem to escape the stigma of forever being a 'love interest' first and foremost.
I'm hoping the New 52 finally gives the character room to grow into something more. |

Instead, they're just cruising for 'safe' names and not taking chances on folks like Whedon (who only had one feature film to his name prior to The Avengers). You saw what happened when WB let Whedon go after they didn't like his WW screenplay... now he's working for Marvel Studios now and has the biggest superhero film under his belt. There's a certain parallel between Joss Whedon and Alan Horn now... they both ditch WB for greener pastures at Disney. |
